Sample at Kurtkeller 005: Coffee-tastic 01 on 02/08/2014. Dark brown pour with a medium thin beige head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of coffee and butterscotch. Light to medium body with flavors of roast malt, caramel and mild coffee. The finish is sweet with a malt and mild coffee aftertaste. Decent overall. Pours a deep brown color with a chocolate coffee aroma. Taste is a bit sweet for such a dark colored beer. A slight dirty water taste with a metallic aftertaste. A bit watery and light for a porter. batneil (773) - - NOV 7, 2013
High quality dark beer. Deep brown colour, some head. Nice flavour of coffee, maybe some chocolate too. lehueve (19) - Calexico, Alabama, USA - NOV 3, 2013
A - Pretty dark almost black with a 3 finger head.
S - Coffee as expected, chocolate, earth
T - Coffee follows the aroma, roasty coffee, dark bitter chocolate, some oats too.
M - The body is medium to light but also creamy. The finish is dry
O - A nice coffee porter but it could use more flavors. The aroma is the best part but then the taste and mouthfeel fall short. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - AUG 22, 2013
Bottle; poured a dark brown color with a light brown head. Aroma of coffee, caramel, and oats. Nice, pleasant aroma. Flavor was good, but had something a bit off about it. A bit too much sweetness, and some weird fruity notes. Ok overall.

Bottle; dark brownish in color. Aroma of coffee, nuts and roasted. Flavor was the same and quite drinkable. rayOfBeer (680) - El Cerrito, California, USA - JUL 23, 2013
Bottle: black-brown pour with small tan head. Aroma of coffee, roast grain, and something peppery. Flavor is creamy coffee, roast grain, somewhat sweet-tart malt, and smoke. Flavor is okay, just not a standout. maltman53 (472) - Corrales, New Mexico, USA - JUL 21, 2013
Coffee, black licorice nose, smoky, full-bodied palate, finishing cleanly. A good porter, not a great one. Johnsense (1753) - - JUN 12, 2013
Dark brown pour, small head. Lighter coffee aroma - think a coffee with milk and sugar thats been iced down for the summer. Coffee is there but fights with bitter chocolate for your attention with neither really winning out. Average mouthfeel. Nothing offensive but nothing to get excited about either. Infused coffee, like cold coffee but not bad. Pretty basic underlying porter. Thanks for hooking me up Stephen. Drinkable. Deep brown body, no head.
