Hazy deep amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Minerally crisp carbonation. Semi dry malt with toffee - caramel crystal malt sweetness. Hops are piney with a little orange and orange marmalade. Finishes with the malt turning creamy and the piney hops turning bitter. Not the most sophisticated of DIPAs but okay.
UPDATED: JAN 11, 2014 22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy dark amber orange with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out earthy notes, caramel, and vegetal notes - not too much in the way of hops. Flavour brings a lot of vegetal notes, light hops, and some bready notes. Way too vegetal - tons of off-notes here. Not very drinkable. Quite bad. bhensonb (15973) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 25, 2013
Bomber from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours dark copper with a foamy near beige head. Lots of earthy fruit in the aroma. Mild caramel. Med body or better. Flavor is earthy with resin. Mild hop burn. Lots of hop, but it could use some fruit. Finishes dry and earthy. And somewhat astringent. Ratman197 (15624) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - NOV 25, 2012

"Big display at Total Wine...supposedly fresh - never seen this particular brew before. Couldn’t tell the style from the label, just that it was hoppy. Dark pour for any ipa, odd aroma and flavor. Bread. spice, peppery pine and spruce, hoppy and bitter, but malty sweet as well. Not a favorite in the IIPA style (or for the price) but not a bad beer either." Sammy (13000) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 11, 2013
Fresh bottle sent directly to Toronto from the brewer. Fairly mild DIPA, hoppiness noted however its not the hops in the face expectation of the style. Light creamy yellow body with no observed head. Medium mouthfeel. A bit much malt. Decent drinkability.

Bottle from Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours reddish copper with a modest beige head and a strange aroma like sweaty sox and garlic. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor with a carbonated bitter finish. Not bad. bb (9790) - Alamo, California, USA - JAN 7, 2013
Draft. Rich amber beer with a tan head. Grapefruit and light pine aroma. Pine and grapefruit flavor with light darker malts. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Pine and grapefruit linger with light caramel and a slight medicinal backing. motelpogo (8031) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - SEP 6, 2004
tap at six rivers. i dunno, i thought it was okay. lots of pine in the aroma and some orange mango cordial. very sweet, tasted a bit like the lemon and brown sugar pancakes my dad makes. but it was a pleasant tangy sweetness and interesting to taste a double ipa without a massive bitter finish
