On tap at brewpub. Pours a hazy amber with a minimal head that remains. Grapefruit and newly mown grass aroma. Taste is citrus, sweet toasted malt and caramel. Well balanced good brew. More like a mild barleywine in character, though. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 1, 2011
On tap at Six Row brewpub. Lightly hazed amber with an off-white head and a moderate amount of lacing. Aroma of resinous west coast hops, pine, citrus and a nice caramel malt bill. Taste is dank and west coasty with resinous hops, pine needles, a hint of alcohol, caramel. Decent double IPA that I guzzled down as the Badgers knocked the Wildcats out of the NCAA tourney. thegreenrooster (4483) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - APR 6, 2011
Pour is a clear orange with a very small white head. Aroma is an adequate amount of citrus hops. Flavor is again more citrus hops with lingering dry malty backbone. Not an overpowering hop to this but just almost the right amount for an IPA. Alcohol is at the low end for a IIPA which is nice and makes this a well made beer. jandd1983 (4442) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - FEB 13, 2011
Sampler at the brewpub. Deep copper color with a thin white head. Aroma is a good hop. Flavor is also very good and light citrus hops on a caramel malt. Not a bad brew.

12 oz. tulip glass at Bigelo’s. Aroma was toasty malt and some kind of funk. Couldn’t place it, though. Flavor began with nice malt. Hops were secondary and offered floral and pine. Some very nice fruit ran throughout. It was a bit sour but that was not a detraction at all here. A very modest IIPA. Not "in your face" at all but well contained and controlled. Nicely done. I wouldn’t dare rate it anything other than a 3.7 and break the streak. beernbourbon (1596) - Glendale, Arizona, USA - JAN 7, 2011
Tap at brewpub. Pour into a snifter is deep copper with a thin white head. Aroma is resinous hop, caramel malt, light citrus hop, and faint rock candy. Flavor is also resinous and lightly citrusy hops on a backbone of caramel malt. Not too crazy but solid for sure. SrSilliGose (3331) - pouring bus, New Brunswick, CANADA - NOV 18, 2010

(draught) hazy gold with small white head in tulip. Pine hops aroma. Flavor is slightly sweet malt with more floral hops flavor. Good balance. Dogbrick (13376) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 31, 2010
UPDATED: FEB 4, 2011 On draught at the brewpub, served in a snifter. This beer is a clear bright orange color with a medium foamy off-white head that diminishes slowly. Sticky rings of lacing. Piney hops aroma with notes of citrus and malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter hoppy character that has pine and citrus notes, along with a nice malty balance. The finish is hoppy with a citrus aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
