Ar: Butterscotch, toasty caramel, some cocoa.
Ap: Deep brown, opaque - large light tan head with great retention and thick, rocky lacing.
T: Big burst of coffee up front, astringent roast - high bitterness - butterscotch, caramel, and nougat - finish coffee and a some light cocoa notes, and a lot of roast.
P: Medium-full body with medium-high carbonation - finish is medium-dry.
O: Tasty mixture of flavors, but there is just too much astringency here. DCLawyer (2839) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - MAR 27, 2013

Summary: I liked this take on an imperial porter, and do enjoy coffee, just didn’t get the complete depth of flavors I was hoping for.
12oz redbull can into a snifter. this pours a dark dark black with a slightly off white head. Lacing left from the fluffy head and nice ring of bubbles left in the wake. The aromas of strong coffee and straight cacao nibs. its interesting because you dont think at all beer or even imperial porter if you close your eyes and take a whiff, its more like sitting in little coffee shop. with the first taste i get no beer and no alcohol, i get coffee, slight bits or burnt grain, chocolate, almost a vanilla. the coffee and roast is overwhelming. the body is lighter than one would expect especially for those that judge beers by the color. if not for the overwhelming flavor this is an easy and quick sipper till the abv sneaks up on you and you slow it down. overall this is a pretty good beer that i had no idea about when getting this last single can. i think if it was a little cheaper and more available it would stay in my rotation as long as possible. Can from Premier. Pours thick chocolate brown. Lovely Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Long lasting head. Creamy mouthfeel, toffee. Coffee works, just why so high an ABV? Strong porter, yes. Good drinkability.
Baltic porter?I don’t know. Chuckaduck (674) - Highland Heights, Kentucky, USA - MAR 23, 2013
Can. 3/24/13. Pours opaque brown-black with a thick fluffy beige head. Aroma is dry; vanilla, cocoa, spicy, bitter, bread. Taste is complex; bitter chocolate, unsweetened vanilla, coffee, spicy, long bitter chocolate finish and some booze. Very dry; very bitter. While the alcohol is well-hidden, the flavors on their own are pretty aggressive. This porter caught me by surprise and not really in the best of ways. Aggressive but still very flavorful. I wish I could score this higher.
