Can. Pours deep brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma is very chocolatey and sweet, almost chocolate cookie or cake sweetness, a bit of dark cocoa and some espresso. Flavor has a lot of the chocolate of course, both milk and dark chocolate and the coffee comes in aggressively in the finish. Slight metallic note that lingers but generally good heavy chocolate coffee beer. Medium to medium full body a bit creamy. blipp (9268) - La Mesa, California, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Draft. Pours near black with a beige head. Sweet coffee, vanilla, espresso, lightly roasted malts, and lighter nutty notes. This one hit me the right way; really damn good. HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - FEB 2, 2013
12 oz. can. Pours a dark brown, near black, with a small tan head. Aroma of cocoa, coffee, mild earth. Flavor is chocolatey, with strong coffee but a strong earth presence. Some bitterness, some sweetness, and, in fact, fairly balanced. Interesting flavor, however, mild dirt, mild dust. Full bodied, nice carbonation, but it drinks pretty smooth. Finishes like a chocolate dessert. Jow (3923) - New York, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Grabbed 4 pack at whole foods. Pours deep dark brown with one finger head. Nose is earthy and of bitter dark chocolate. Tastes of chocolate, creamy cappuccino, earth, resin, and root beer. Slight alcohol after taste but well hidden for this abv. Easy drinking which could prove dangerous for me this evening unless I finally develop self control.

3Beans pours a opaque rich brown black with a sturdy lasting head of small bubbles. Nose is rich dark chocolate and black coffee, a heady mix of awesomeness. Taste is dark chocolate bitter on the front mellowing with good malt in the mid taste. This beer finishes with more good dark chocolate black coffee on the back end. There is just a bit of minerally kick on the front end that I’;m not crazy about. the whole thing works amazingly well. a fantastic beer. TheBeerGod (6216) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Can. Very dark opaque brown pour with a tall, frothy brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, soft coffee notes and caramel. Taste is rather boozy with roasted malt, coffee, cocoa, dark chocolate, caramel and toasted grains. Body is medium with a creamy carbonation and a strong, boozy warmth. Not noticeable in the aroma but way up front on the palate. Ends with more booze notes, chocolate, cocoa, soft coffee roasted malt, caramel, and toasted grains. podey (638) - New York, New York, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Poured at Sixpoint tasting at Whole Foods Bowery Beer Room in NYC today. Light brown in color with thick white head. Aroma of coffe/espresso beans. The coffee really comes throught in the taste with hints of chocolate. I really enjoyed this beer. AdamChandler (5051) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 1, 2013
Light brown, 3 finger coffee colored head. smells of espresso beans, rye malts, smoke and oak. Taste is very coffee like. lots of cold brewed coffee, chocolate covered espresso beans but very little malt to back it up. very thin and light mouthfeel, roast almost burnt coffee finish. kirk36 (223) - Peabody, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 1, 2013
Earthy, beany, chocolately and well worth the wait! Great new comer to the market! It's what diesel should be! I do get a watery forward but beans after taste.
