Out of a can. Pours mocha black with generous tan head. Rich aromas and hints of mocha chocolate make this beer fantastic. Nice blend of bitter and sweet. Alextricity (509) - Michigan, USA - OCT 5, 2013
$5 can bought at the Comet Cafe in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The can says "Best by July 10th", so it’s not exactly fresh, but it’s in a can, it’s not an IPA, and my guess is that it was stored cold. I’m not too worried about that.
Appearance: Sexy. Pitch black with about two fingers of a creamy, dark tan head. Lacing’s somewhat patchy, but it just looks awesome overall.
Smell: I had this served to me seemingly near freezing, so I got basically no smell out of my glass after pouring. After a few minutes, I smelled my warmed up can, and the first thing I got was a pretty huge dose of alcohol, followed by coffee and cocoa. As the 3Beans in my glass slowly warmed, it smelled like chilled dark coffee with cocoa sprinkled in. The alcohol aroma is slightly annoying, but I mean.. what the hell. It IS 10%.
Taste/feel: When I first got it, it just tasted like a somewhat bland cold coffee (definitely needed to warm up). After it warmed up... wow. Massive coffee, complimentary dark chocolate, and a moderate amount of warming in the throat from the alcohol. This seems to be a fairly popular morning beer on BeerAdvocate, but this worked well for me as a nightcap. kermis (14196) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 4, 2013

Poured from a bottle dark brown slight head aroma of brandy. It tastes of bitter chocolate that lingers on the palate Iphonephan (7076) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - OCT 4, 2013
From a can shared with Kermis. Pours a clear cola brown with a bubbly, quickly dissipating head. Aroma of chocolate and a hint of licorice. Licorice comes out more strongly in the taste. Lingering bitter finish.

Little fucken can @ home. Pours a dark brown appearance with a big, fluffy dark brown head. Coffee, toasted malty, a bit roasty, chocolate, toffee, herbal, a bit earthy aroma. Tangy, a bit goopy, toffee/burnt sugar, dark chocolate, coffee flavor. Sort of goopy and sweet. Not horrible but a bit over the top for me. ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - OCT 1, 2013
On tap at 2SP. Pours a clean dark brown color and red highlights, with a one finger, off white head. Roasted dark chocolate aromas with a touch of the coffee and a light hop hint. Sweet cocoa flavors complemented by a bitter coffee finish. Very well-balanced. Slick and creamy, medium body with mild carbonation. Treebs (872) - , Illinois, USA - SEP 29, 2013
12 oz. can served in a . Got this in a BIF.
A: Pours a dark black color with a light khaki head. It recedes to a thick collar with lots of stick, soapy lace cascading down the glass.
S: Faint notes of coffee beans and dark fruit with a little anise and roasted malts.
T: Light coffee, oat malts and some roast. Super dry and chalky finish. A little black licorice with some slightly metallic and vegetal notes.
M: Medium thin bodied with a medium high carbonation level. Super dry on the finish with some chalk
O: Very dry on the mouth feel with not enough chocolate and dark fruit flavors that I associate with a good Baltic Porter. It needs a touch more roast and some body as well.
Serving type: can

Primarily a roasted malt aroma with some pleasinsg cheesy notes. Pours a solid dark brown with a rapidly dissipating tan head and abuntent lacing. The taste is a nice round bitterness. Coffee, chocolate, with roasted malt and some bready notes in the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Overall, a very enjoyable and drinkable strong porter. Oh yeah! Would drink again.
