12oz slim can, from Lizardville RR, just needs a little more body to be in a category with breakfast stout, still this is a nicely done breakfast style stout loads of coffee, some sweetness in caramel and vanilla variety and i think savory is a great way to describe it. Can during the High Speed Tasting Pt. I on the train to the Black Country Bus Tour. Thanks to Ian for this Brooklynite. Pours clear brown with a creamy beige head. Sugary, creamy cocoa nose, light filter coffee notes. Medium sweet flavor with bitter earth, lightly astringent coffee, bitter cocoa, some dry dark fruits. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with dry cocoa, bitter espresso, strong roasted malts, bitter earth, burnt wood. Good stuff. jmagnus87 (3302) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - JUL 27, 2013
Can at my buddys Broken Liver barleywine tasting. Really strong coffee flavor. Like i was licking the gum at the bottom of a coffee pot. Very boozy also. Interesting, but not really my thing.

Can [12oz]. Pours a very dark amber-brown with a huge cascading, lasting frothy beige head. Good amount of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, alcohol, a bit of sugar and some coffee of course. Flavour of coffee first followed by some hops, alcohol, lactic notes, pepper and chocolate. Average coffee bitter finish. Average bodied. Ya gotta like coffee, and I do, so it’s pretty good.

12oz slim can. Rating #255. Very dark brown pour with a tan head. Nice sweet roasty aroma, chocolate and rich malt. Nice bitter bite with a little alcohol kick as well, mild dark chocolate roast and just pretty darn tasty all together. (2846) bytemesis (9196) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JUL 21, 2013
Can. Pours clear deep reddish hazel with a medium tan creamy head that dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is really all about the coffee, with perhaps some molasses and chocolate thrown in. Flavor is much the same, coffee forward and not a whole lot else. Light sweet, light bitter growing to medium on the finish. Some acidity. Medium plus body, high carbonation, creamy. ABV very well masked. A nice beer, but a bit one dimensional.
