Black Country Beano. Outbound train tasting! Thanks to Ian. Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is smooth and slightly soft. Fine carbonation. Nice dark chocolate malt. Little mellow coffee. Light lactose. Touch of dark fruits. Finishes smooth with a mildly bitter coffee aftertaste. Drinks well below it’s abv. Nice beer!

Sugary, creamy cocoa nose, light filter coffee notes. Medium sweet flavor with bitter earth, lightly astringent coffee, bitter cocoa, some dry dark fruits. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with dry cocoa, bitter espresso, strong roasted malts, bitter earth, burnt wood. Good stuff.
