Black with a small brown head. Aroma is roasted coffee with smooth vanilla and toffee notes, milk chocolate, notes of cocoa,
Taste is sweet, malty, roasted and smooth bitter. Finish is sweet toffee and vanilla, smooth roasted notes of coffee, milk chocolate. Medium bodied, creamy texture, soft carbonation.
Good beer, good company, good card games. Tasty and the balance is about right- all the flavours are distinguishable without being overbearing. polo_marco (332) - milton, Vermont, USA - APR 27, 2016
Not too sweet and a really unique mouthfeel from bean #4- the romano. Really smooth and fairly low carbonation level. Not at all boozy and pleasantly medium bodied and earthy. Well done.
Smells of some roasted malts and super robust strong coffee all the way through the scent. Wicked rich deep dark black coffee like color. Taste starts off super sugary with dark malts coming through the middle of the flavor profile. Thous followed by sweet dark roasted coffee of all types. This has a full body with flat like carbonation which really works for this brew for it’s a dark rich beer especially being a porter. Love the flavor and the feel of this brew. Nice work this is a coffee lover dream for a beer. Keep it up! alexsdad06 (10947) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - MAR 31, 2016
Can from Dutch’s. Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized creamy khaki head that leaves some spotty lacing. The aroma is roasted malts, dark chocolate, some sweeter milk chocolate, subtle vanilla, coffee with some dry earthy notes as well. The flavor has a nice roasted malt, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, coffee blend, the vanilla is subtle but adds a nice touch. Some black coffee earthy bitterness to the finish. Medium plus bodied smooth and on the dry side. Not muchsign of the 10%. One of the best I’ve had from Sixpoint. Night_Cap (119) - Southern Highlands, AUSTRALIA - MAR 29, 2016
Can 355ml. Served at cellar temperature. Pours a dark brown (virtually black). Head is averaged sized, tanned and lasts well. Aroma is of roasted malts, toast, black coffee, dark cooking chocolate with light notes of liquorice liquor and hints of vanilla cola. Flavour is very smooth with a light roasted bitterness; coffee beans, burnt toast, dark bitter chocolate, liquorice, vanilla and hints of dried currants. Medium bodied with medium carbonation and a decent length, dry finish. ABV is dangerously well hidden!
