3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at the beer pairing at the Sybarite Pig. Tulip. Nice amber pour with haze. Thick white head and some lacing. Nose is nice fresh pine hops, some citrus, grass and hay. The taste is similar with a very pleasant hop bitterness. It just seems like a fall beer. Moderate carbonation, medium body. Finish is fresh hop bitterness. The malts also come through on the finish for a great ending.
Can, Cheers Craig, April 2014 Not So Fools Tasting (rating backlog) Pours amber slight white head, great lacing. Nose is tropical fruits, caramel, toffee. taste is quite bitter, grapefruit but harsh, very one toned. Bricks (1140) - Delaware, USA - AUG 30, 2015
Great orange amber color. Aroma of sweet citrus and hops. Taste has some serious citrus, decent hop... balanced taste. Fairly subdued hoppiness, not too abrasive... but a slightly strange aftertaste. This is a GOOD beer. RSRIZZO (2010) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - JUN 29, 2015
16oz can (courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Shaker at 42°. Color is a deep hazy golden/amber with good carbonation and a nice tight white head. Aroma is toffee and fruit with a note of hop spice. It has a medium body with a creamy mouth feel. Flavor is light dried fruits and a little citrus backed by hop spice and a mild bitterness. After taste is a little more bitterness and the fruit turns to a toffee. Overall the only thing I can say is yummy. This is a great brew full of fruity flavors and well balanced. tfontana (1045) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 11, 2015
Can from The Drinkery, Londonderry NH. Aroma is mainly bready malts with some citrus hops. Appearance is cloudy orange brown with massive (4 finger) foamy head (a little annoying waiting for it to go down), no sparkling and with significant lacing. Taste is rich malty backbone with mild bitter hops over the top and during finish. Palate is medium bodied with creamy texture with flat carbonation. Overall, a good, straightforward, solid pale ale without tremendous complexity but pretty solid all around. zvikar (6264) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - DEC 27, 2014
Can sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Tom C. Pours an hazy orange with a nice head, aroma of marmalade, newspaper, toffee, flavor is bitter with grapefruit, tangerine and some acidity, medium bodied.

At a tasting, thanks Tom C., smallish bubbly head, a touch murky quite cloudy deep orange colour, herbal aroma with orange marmalade and biscuit, sweet malty flavour with a strong herbal bitterness, completely unbalanced. The harvest was probabaly quite a long time ago. hopscotch (11175) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 17, 2014
Draft... Pours clear and amber with orange highlights and a small, creamy, white head. Excellent retention. The aroma is a tough nut to crack. It’s difficult for me to pull anything at all from the glass, but after letting it warm a good bit, I’m picking up notes of bread crust and some type of melon or tropical fruit – I can’t place it. Full-bodied and oily with prickly carbonation. The flavor is bitter. Just bitter. Not much else worth mentioning – maybe some tea biscuit and pine. Finishes crisp, bitter, raspy, and then dry. No real hop flavor here. Aimless bitterness throughout. No technical flaws. Cleanly brewed. A little too bitter for the style, but I don’t rate to style. DSG (15035) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - OCT 13, 2014
Can sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Tom C. Hazy orange-amber. Aroma of stale hops and some caramelly/biscuit malt. Sweetish flavor with malt, a bit biscuit, stale hops and a moderately bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Darkmagus82 (2302) - - SEP 29, 2014

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – Served a copper-brown colored brew with a small fizzy off white head. The head fades almost instantly, leaving a decent level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is overall on the sweeter and more malty side. The sweeter smells are a mix of caramel and some light fruit aromas. The malty smells are a mix of roasted brown bread and a bit of a biscuit smell. Rounding out the mix of aromas are some hop notes. The hops are really not all that potent and consist of some earthy and more herbal aromas overall.
Taste – The taste of the brew was very much hoppier then I would have expected from the nose especially since I did not initially know that it was designed to be a IPA, but thought it was more of a harvest style/brown/nutty brew . It begins with a cracker and roasted malt taste with a decent amount of an earthy and grapefruit hop. Upfront there is a little bit of a caramel and lighter fruit flavor that fade as the taste moves on toward the end. While the sweetness fades the hop flavors ramp up with more earthy and quite a bit more grapefruit coming to the tongue. A nutty flavor also joins the taste more toward the middle bringing a bit more “harvest” taste to the brew then was present to the taste prior. Along with the other hops, a light pine hop flavor joins the profile at the very end, leaving a drier and rather “raw” hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is average in terms of its thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average to slightly higher than would have been expected for the style. The moderateness of the body and higher carbonation were rather decent for the beer, while not really supporting any of the roasted flavors well, the two in conjunction were very nice for the hop flavors as they added a nice level of exciting effervesce and easy drinkability to the higher hop profile.
Overall – A rather decent hopped up harvest I would say. Rather pure in hop flavor with tons of “raw” hop taste. A rather interesting brew and one that is a slightly nice and off style form a standard IPA.

"I dug the uniquness of this beer. Very very light on the pumpkin and spices, and hopped something akin to a Sierra Nevada harvest ale, with ample bitterness on the back end. Went back for seconds :)"
