Can. Pours a hazy deep orange with a thin white head. Aroma of sweaty, grassy hops and corn. Actually it smells pretty similar to Bengali. Flavor is similar plus just a hint of spices. I don’t really get any pumpkin. And again, overall, very similar to their regular IPA. Pretty tasty, just doesn’t live up to its description.

16 oz. can. A "pounder" we called it back in the day. Poured into a pint glass. Pours a beautiful slightly hazy red/orange color with a thick one finger off white head. Sticky rings of lace are left as the head leaves us. Nice hop forward aroma with a semi sweet maltiness. Smells like a well made IPA to me. Maybe a hint of spice. As to flavor, this brew is full of floral hop taste that gets richer with every sip. There are some bits of spice and just a hint of pumpkin. The palate is full bodied & bitter. I thought this brew was terrific & will seek out more. jgb9348 (6272) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - OCT 24, 2011
Slightly hazy bronze and copper coloured body with a thick, dense, but rather soapy off-white head that leaves a horribly ugly lace. Aroma of tons of fresh hops, a touch of light malt, caramel, toffee and some light alcohol - but the hops really come out in the smell! Medium-bodied; Assertive hoppiness at first with a good dose of malt and some clean, soapy type tastes with a little alcohol and a bit of toffee. Aftertaste is mostly a dry hop note with some oak and a little floral flavours, but the soapy almost pervasive cleanser type taste gets pretty bad actually. Overall, pretty well done, but not great, and the soapy, astringent flavour gets in the way of a great beer. I sampled this sixteen ounce can purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 09-October-2011 for US$2.49 sampled at home in Washington on 23-October-2011. Powerful citrus hops with round fruits, light floral, And a bit of sweet malts. Fresh citrus hop flavor, fruits, light malts. Medium bodied. Interesting. Mostly sweet and fruity hops. Good but not what was expected. cheap (5862) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 23, 2011
From the other beers I’ve had from this company, I was expecting something big and bold. However, even with its near 7%, there was very little rudenss. On tap at the Bocktown Monaca. Smell is just barely hoppy floral. The initial taste does have some of that octoberfest feel in it. However, it also has some kind of odd unidentifyable backbone in there, maybe leather maybe something else. . I guess this is what makes it a sixpoint. Finish is not bad, somewhat medium bitter ending.

The aroma is full of earthy, musty hops, sweet caramel. The appearance is a hazy yellow/orange, white head. The flavor is musty, sweatsock, earth, metal, light caramel sweetness. The finish is resin hops, musty, earthy hops. Medium in body. WAY too hoppy to be a pumpkin ale, in fact, no pumpkin was noticeble. This beer SCREAMS wet hopping. But it was fairly enjoyable nonetheless. pineypower (3330) - Ocean County, New Jersey, USA - OCT 20, 2011
Can thanks to Dmac. Pours a moderate amber with a small white head. Aroma is odd, almost skunky, but I know this is fresh Saaz hops anyone? Grass, light biscuit and some bready notes. Taste is grassy light fruity hops, old vegetables, light grain. No idea where the Citra is in here... Just didn’t work. BREWMUSKCLES (2687) - New Jersey, USA - OCT 20, 2011
HARDLY A pumpkin brew this beer has a caustic and ivy hop bitterness that is woeful to quit. hop profile and long lingering finish it has almost no sweetness and flavorful with a miniscule amount of spice and pumpkin. it redefines autumn brews and i am a convert. ivy and wood. demonstrative do not pass pass this by as another post road, you will regret it! cakanator (452) - South Hadley, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 19, 2011
16oz can. I had high hopes for this one. Pours a nice off copper/orange color, nice head and lacing. Aromas aren’t too distinctive, but some floral and bittering hops detected. Nicely balanced and flavorful, ABV is well balanced, not too bitter or malty. This is quite unique, not a marzen or pumpkin, but a great alternate for the season. 16oz can. Medium amber pour with an off white head. Very tasty this one with a nice hoppiness to it. Yes please, I’ll have another.
