Bright amber color with ivory sheen. Mild pine, dry caramel, earthy musty aromas. medium body, average carbonation. Nice lightly sweet caramel flavors with mild dank, earthy hop--good jeremytoni (3058) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - DEC 18, 2012
From the tap poured a brown color with a fair amount of head. Light malty flavor with a quick finish. rumproasts (5342) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - DEC 17, 2012
can. amber with two fingers of head. hoppy, but otherwise dull flavor profile. flavors somewhat muddled. no discernable pumpkin. a bit disappointing. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 15, 2012
Canned. Poured clear, medium golden-orange with a creamy, 1" beige head. The aroma picked up fresh, green hoppage (mostly pine with lesser citrus) over sweet caramel and a hint of molasses.. fresh and well-balanced. The flavor found a sweet base of caramel and a touch of honey, with fresh, dank pine and almost perfumey hops around and through.. finished bitter and fruity.. tasty stuff. Light-medium bodied and very fresh.. I’m not usually a fan of wet-hop stuff, but this was solid. Hophaze (192) - South Bend, Indiana, USA - DEC 15, 2012
Bottle. Pours amber with white head. Medium lacing. Aroma of citrus. Don't really smell or taste the pumpkin but it reminds me of a harvest ale.

Amber with a big off-white head. Full of flowers, grass, tropical fruits and subtle pale malts. The Flying Saucer description said pumpkin ale...? I don’t get it. It’s pretty good regardless. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - DEC 10, 2012
Can:   Amberish, slight haze, large frothy sandy head, nice lacing.   Aroma is very soft, subtle hops and malts.   I smell no pumpkin at all.   Has a musty aspect that extends to the tongue.   Not too bright, nor spicy.   A balance of soft malts, and perhaps even softer hops.   By the end its a bit mealy, somewhat soily.   Has an organic aspect to it, well at least organic from the early days of organic beers.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes musty, and more like a weak Pale Ale than anything else.   Again, what Pumpkin? 2012 Citra version on draft. Nicely tropical aroma with lots of melon, citrus, and some nice grassy hops. Taste is medium sweet with a nice little bitter kick on the finish. llcooldave (1211) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - DEC 8, 2012
What is this? A pumpkin pale ale? A pumkin ipa? Clear caramel color. Some citrus, a hint of pumpkin and spice aroma. Somewhat high hoppy flavor with a mix of holiday spices and a "squashy gourd like" component to it. Overall, its drinkable.... Thanks Barzigkin for sharing. superspak (5504) - Michigan, USA - DEC 1, 2012
16 ounce can into imperial pint glass, best before 12/30/2012. Pours hazy orange copper color with a 2 finger dense off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, caramel, orange zest, pine, floral, toast, bread, citrus rind, herbal, and earthy spiciness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and hop complexity. Taste of grapefruit, caramel, toast, biscuit, orange rind, pine, pepper, clove, floral, light nuttiness, herbal, and earthy spiciness. Good amount of spicy pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, caramel, orange rind, bread, toast, pepper, floral, and earthy spiciness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance of flavors with a good sweetness/bitterness balance; minimal cloying flavors noticed after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice holiday spiced wet hop IPA. Nice hop complexity with good malt and spiciness balance; very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
