Our first-ever seasonal can release arrives today, and it is brewed as a true celebration of this special moment in time. We made a trip out to Yakima Valley to the oldest continually operating hop farms in the country, and met with Patrick Smith, a 3rd generation hop grower. We selected and harvested 800 pounds of fresh wet hops

Pours a nice clear orange copper color with a big frothy head that gets rocky and laces nicely..... sticks around for quite a while. On the nose its a touch of spicy malt and a little citrus earthy hoppy goodness. On the palate I get alot more hop profile than spice, malt or pumpkin.. in fact I dont get any pumpkin at all except for a bit of creaminess on the mouthfeel that is quite appealing and works nicely with the big citrus, earth driven hop flavors. Nice seasonal.

Golden amber with good, foamy, off-white head / Lightly sweet, mild nose of pine, pumpkin and citrus / Light to medium body, a touch watery, mostly dry with bitter finish / Very dry, light flavors of pine, pumpkin, and grapefruit / Astringent and crisp, lacking in sufficient fruit.

Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average off-white frothy head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid complex hoppy, pumpkin with all the spices aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium spice bittersweet flavor with a medium spice bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid seasonal beer.

2012-16oz Can. Pours amazing light bronze color with a citrus nose yet a hint of pumpkin/spice. Lighter mouthfeel than expected with great balance. Alcohol is not prominent and very easy drinking. Hop finish similar to a EBC in my opinion. Liked the 2011 version better but Citra hops are great too. A online poll helped decide the dominant hop. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a transparent orange with off-white lacing. Smells malty and spicy. Tastes the same, but not as good. Average (at best) on the palate. Meh.

2012 16oz can, poured into a tulip, best by 12/30/12. Wet hop ale with pumpkin sounds really interesting... And this has got to be much improved from last years version. I think this is really good! Smooth lighter carbonation, medium body. Dry texture. Clear orange color. Thicker khaki head, leaving great lace. Good aggressive hoppy aroma; orange, pine, resin, lemongrass. Only a bit of pumpkin. Seems to be much more IPA than pumpkin ale, but it?s definitely a cool mix. Good bitter and spice taste; zest. Hint of cinnamon, nutmeg. Really good, definitely fascinating. Totally new hybrid for me, and I think it?s a winner. This is the kind of creative stuff I like to see. I plan to pick up at least a couple more of these for non-critical enjoyment before the end of the season

On tap at CBF. Poured an amber-orange color with a small white head. Aroma was citrus notes, earthy hops as well. Flavor was hops, citrus, overall earthy. Pumpkin not there, but Im glad Im not the only one that was confused by this.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of some generous trader. Another unfortunate brew that got lost in the back of my parents refrigerator. Oh yeah, here goes. Cloudy, reddish orange appearance with a big, bubbly, tan head. Quite spicy, ginger, somewhat piney, toasty malty aroma. Caramel, pumpkin, ginger, richly piney hoppy, toasty malty flavor. Not bad.
