COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sixpoint Bengali Tiger is reminiscent of the century-old English IPA. In my perspective, many current IPAs suffer from lacking substance; unbalanced by a hoppy assertiveness that is not substantiated by a strong foundation of rich malt flavors. Our interpretation uses the highest-quality, floor-malted base malt, which lends a full-bodied and rich caramel flavor. We mash at high temperatures and add generous amounts of specialty malts to further emphasize a strong foundation of malt as leverage for our generous additions of hops Which are indeed generous. We use a total of three different hop strains, and add a total of six different additions throughout the process. The Bengali Tiger has a hoppy snap upfront, but strides at a steady pace, and finishes balanced. The signature characteristic of the Tiger is the aroma we use massive quantities of whole East Kent Goldings hops to dry hop in our conditioning tanks. The result? The essential oils from the hops are an enticing treat before every sip. Notice the lacing of stripes around the pint glass as you finish your glass; its the mark of the Tiger.

Draft. Pours cloudy copper gold with a thin fizzy white head and decent lacing. Dry feel with a lingering aftertaste. Tastes strongly of pine, some grapefruit, some banana and bubblegum, also floral. Low/medium body and carbonation. Smells musky and like vegetables.

Tannish white head, and great orange and amber color. Aroma is lacking a bit, mild hoppiness and faint sweetness to it, but not much more to it. Mouthfeel was wonderful, a like bite for the hops, covered my tongue and mouth in a malty sweetness. Excellent beer overall, really looking forward to the Resin from these guys, and maybe the 3 bean too.

Orange pour with a pretty thick white/tan head. Aroma is strong citrus - orange, tangerine and lemon. Crazy hop flavor, lots of orange and grapefruit with some lemon zest and even a slighty spicy malt flavor with a nice, stick, hoppy resin. Checks all the boxes for a great IPA. Love this brewery.

pours bronze with soapy white head. true to the commercial description provided; there is lots of elegantly layering lacing. aroma of pungent oranges and tangerines, some touches of doughy malt. taste is of oranges and caramel and doughy malts. the hop characteristics are a tad boring and one-dimensional; the ale could really benefit from a bigger hop profile as it is too grainy and doughy in malt tones to entice the American IPA lover. palate was full bodied and with not too much carbonation. overall, not a very hoppy IPA, and in that way, could be better. check out Sixpoints resin instead for their take on a more hop-forward beer.

16 oz can. Pours a hazy rust color with a foamy ivory head. Loads of lacing. Aroma of citrus, pine, resin, and faint sweet malts. Bitter citrus rinds, resin, and pine hops are upfront followed by a subtle sweet malt backbone. A bitter lingering finish.
