COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sixpoint Bengali Tiger is reminiscent of the century-old English IPA. In my perspective, many current IPAs suffer from lacking substance; unbalanced by a hoppy assertiveness that is not substantiated by a strong foundation of rich malt flavors. Our interpretation uses the highest-quality, floor-malted base malt, which lends a full-bodied and rich caramel flavor. We mash at high temperatures and add generous amounts of specialty malts to further emphasize a strong foundation of malt as leverage for our generous additions of hops… Which are indeed generous. We use a total of three different hop strains, and add a total of six different additions throughout the process. The Bengali Tiger has a hoppy snap upfront, but strides at a steady pace, and finishes balanced. The signature characteristic of the Tiger is the aroma… we use massive quantities of whole East Kent Goldings hops to dry hop in our conditioning tanks. The result? The essential oils from the hops are an enticing treat before every sip. Notice the lacing of stripes around the pint glass as you finish your glass; it’s the mark of the Tiger.

Pour is cloudy yellowish/orange. Nice creamy off white head that laces the glass. Head floats on top like a scoop of French vanilla ice cream. Light floral and pine aroma as well as flavor. Aftertaste is very hoppy bitter. The bitterness is a bit over the top yet flat. Like a block of wood on the tongue.

Can 35,5 cl. Pours a lear orang to amber with a medium white creamy head and an aroma of grapefruit, toffee, mandarin, lime, pine, caramel and berries. The taste is medium to heavy sweet with a medium body and a long lasting fruity hoppy finish.

Poured from a "Can" into a glass. This one we've had a couple times before, but somehow hadn't rated yet. It pours a nice orange glow and has a citrus orange peel lemon wheat aroma. The taste is smooth, well-balanced between hops and fruit with just a kiss of the malt. It is super easy drinking and good to wash away the filth of a mediocre post holiday weekend work day. Good for venting about the dismal prospects of the democratic party and blaring some Can in honor of the late great Holger Czukay.

Can to glass. Hazy orange with sustained, full white head. Malty in both aroma and taste. Slight orange background.

Resin, pine, and earthy aromas. Flavors of citrus, pine, toffee, and roasted cashew. Clean finish. A very good beer!

my favourite of the sixpoint brews that i have come across at the time of writing. has a bit of sting to it that allows the beer to assert itself and show it has strength. fantastically hopped but has dark characteristics too. a nice brew!

Tall 12 fl. oz. can out of the Bierzwerg shelf in Greven. Pours out a little bit unclear pale copper, nearly two finger white head. Smells strong floral hopy with pine. Taste starts strong floral hopy. Malty backbone. Some licorice in the background. Low carbation. Very nice one.

Canned. Small sample. The aroma has pine, some citrus. Bit hazy, orange coloured beer with a large, off-white head. The taste is moderate, bit harsh bitter with mostly pine and citrus. Dry and astringent finish.

Can. Hazy orange amber with a thick deep cream top. It smells of marmalade, orange and rich sugary fruits. Lots of fruits in the mouth. More orange. Some peach. Pineapple. Grapefruit. It gets more flavoursome as it warms up. Absolutely wonderful IPA.
