fiulijn (20370) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 4, 2015
Draught at Apex, Portland, as Sixpoint Global Warmer India Red Ale, 6% ABV
Amber color, hazy. Nice hop aroma, the expected fruit and resins, but also a bit minty. Good body strength, some malt and caramel flavor, moderate sweetness, balanced by a robust resiny hopping.
Fails to impress, but it’s a good beer.

mcberko (17147) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 5, 2017
12 oz. can, pours a hazy dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out lots of resinous hops upfront, followed by caramel malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with a very nice mix of resinous hops and semi-sweet caramel malt. Nicely constructed, with a robust body. Very good.

Can sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Ariel. Hazy orange-amber with an off-white head. Powerful hoppy aroma, very "green" (like hop pellets) with weed, pine needles, some fruitiness and some maltiness. Flavor has some sweetish malt backbone with a bit of caramel, "green" and piney hops and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Nice.
