Drinks above its weight. The wine noted in the coffee comes through quite strong and gives this porter an interesting character even if it’s not one I’m crazy about. Different. BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - MAR 16, 2015
On tap at 28 Springs. Pours super dark brown to black. Aroma is coffee and roast. Lots of coffee on the flavor. And then more coffee. Somewhat bitter. Decent but not great.

Tap. Black, frothy, tan foam, medium bitterness, medium sweetness, medium body, creamy, soft carbonation, & bitter finish. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - FEB 25, 2015
[Tap] Jet black pour with a small tan head. Aromas of coffee grounds, dark chocolate and roasted malts. Charred grains, bakers chocolate, bitter coffee, rye, light vanilla and ashy malts in the taste. Good flavor overall, but it seems a little thin. Mild carbonation. Good looking lacing left over on the glass. Tasting notes from 9/2014. skmikeg (1826) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 16, 2015
Pours pitch black with a one finger tan head with nice lacing. Aroma is of coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malts, spicy hops, sweet malts, and molasses. Taste is about the same as the aroma with the addition of some pine and wine notes. Has a medium-full body with a pretty creamy mouthfeel and a semi bitter, slightly dry, medium-long finish. Overall, a tasty and interesting imperial porter.

10 oz. snifter at When Pigs Fly. Pours a dark brown with a one finger foamy beige head. Coffee, vanilla and a hint of cocoa on the aroma. Semi sweet taste. Like lightly sweetened coffee. Body is a bit thin, but I’m getting picky here. Very nice. pete4999 (1445) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JAN 25, 2015
On tap at Moor Pat. Very dark and impressive pour with brown head. Lots of coffee in it throughout. Slightly bitter coffee though, not the sickening sweet coffee you get sometimes. Smooth and not too killer heavy. I really liked this. SG111 (1874) - New York, USA - JAN 10, 2015
On tap at Spritzenhaus. Pours black with a tan head. Looks like a porter. Aroma is coffee (obviously) and more chocolate than expected. Flavor is coffee throughout. Really prominent. Which leads a more full body to it. Chocolate mixed in. One of the most full bodies I’ve tasted on a porter. Awesome Bebum (1012) - Massachusetts, USA - DEC 17, 2014
Opaque, much lace.
Medium body, slight flavor, short.
Bitter, not too dry.
