WoB Gainesville. Nice chocolate flavor in the mid palate but a bit of a cheap whiskey finish and a touch boozy. Surprisingly not very sweet. Would have again, I suppose.
UPDATED: JUN 16, 2015 On tap at The Brass Tap (Tampa).
Opaque and essentially black in the glass but with ruby highlights. Excellent lacing leaves the glass about 95% coated.
Aroma: Sweet and woody and boozy, surprising me because I didn’t know this was a whisky barrel aged ale. Nicely done.
Flavor: delicious; very lightly sweet. Mild but lingering aftertaste.
O: excellent RIS with plenty, but not too much, bourbon barrel additions. tgncc (3140) - Bellmore, New York, USA - JAN 18, 2015

On tap at The Growler on Stone St., NYC. Smells of molasses, similar to Black Note in texture. Feels like a sweet syrupy sipper. Rich maple notes on the tongue, chocolate and whiskey finish. BLADT (700) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - APR 19, 2014
