Draft in a snifter at the Sybarite Pig beer pairing. A dark amber with haze along with a medium one finger white head. Aroma of spices, fruits, cereal, and Belgian yeasts. Taste is candied sugars, light fruits, cereal, spices, caramel and metal. Very light body for a Belgian Ale. Light carbonation. The Jam raspberries came through the finish more than anything.
Draft. Pours an amber body with light lacing. Aroma is belgian spice and vague fruits. Mouthfeel is medium with a ton of spice dominating and backing flavors of malt, fruit and some additional weirdness. Not a fan of this one. egreener (11) - Petersburg, Michigan, USA - NOV 19, 2013
Saw it at the craft beer growler fill up station in a local market and thought I’d give it a shot. Poured a light golden color. Aroma was a tad pungent. Sadly I was heavily overwhelmed by a very unexpected sour flavor. I love brews with jalapeno and I love brews with berries but I’m not sure what happened here. It was the first beer I’ve ever had in which the flavor prevented me from finishing it. Maybe I just ended up with a bad batch. BrewBoxer (2664) - New York, New York, USA - OCT 1, 2013
Draft at shortys NYC. Pours a hazy slody yellow color. Smells and tastes a little like lox and capers. Not sure where the raspberry is. Ew

10oz on tap at Cock & Bull in Hyde Park, for $7.50. Mostly hazy darker raspeberry red orange color. Good off-white head. Some loose dots and short ropes of lace. Nice raspberry jam flavor, with a light jalapeno kick in the finish. The sweet and heat work well together, and it complements the belgian candy sugar and light caramel malt of the belgian amber nicely. Some spice. Good moderate sweet taste, with the light pepper kick in the finish. Some loose dots and short ropes of lace. Medium body. Lighter carbonation, sort of soft. Sort of a sticky texture in the finish. Pretty tasty, interesting fruit beer. At $7.50 for a 10oz though, pretty over-priced

There’s a sweet raspberry flavor in the front and then it rolls into a round fresh pepper spice that hits the middle to the back of your mouth. It lingers a bit, but you keep wanting more as it is quite refreshingly spicy. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - AUG 6, 2013

Draft. Pours golden orange with a white head. Berry-like fruits, wheaty malts, some hints of toffee, and light earthy notes. Not bad. mansquito (6904) - Nueva York, New York, USA - JAN 27, 2013
The Ginger Man, NY tap: Pours a hazy light golden with a frothy white head. Aroma is a hint of jalapeno, some berry, but smells mostly like a Belgian ale. Taste is thin, lightly hopped Belgian ale, with a mild peppery aftertaste. The bartender was telling me that this wasn’t that good. I think she was mostly right.
