Decent sized off white head of varying sized bubbles. Good head retention. Fruity hops aroma with some pears, pineapple, sweet malts, light grains and spices. Color is a medium brownish orange. Flavor has a good helping of dry hops. Light fruit and pine, dried grains, a touch of caramel and some lemon. Noticeable alcohol presence and warming. Moderate bitterness which is on the dry side. Finishes pretty clean with a lingering dry bitterness. A decent IIPA. meccahh69lol (248) - New Haven, Connecticut, USA - AUG 6, 2017
The aroma is thick humid citrus and damp washcloth. The appearance is a nice golden hazy orange. The taste is a luscious cloud of lemon with bitter cresting waves of hops, and droplets of resiny tangerine. It’s a bit intense and that it is a 9.8ABV is apparent. It also comes in a neat looking can. Good for lonely Sunday Matrix movie marathons w/ an added deathgrind soundtrack. rougeau13 (3083) - Richmond, Texas, USA - AUG 6, 2017
Can. Super cloudy orange-amber with a cream colored head. Spotty lacing. Aroma of caramel, citrus, toast, resin, and pine. A little sweet with a nice solid balancing bitterness. Long bitter finish, smooth, heavy-medium bodied. Nice DiarmaidBHK (5109) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 11, 2017
Draft at Front Row Pizzeria. Pours golden with a white puffy head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Solid grapefruit on the nose. Fairly dank on the tongue with a lot of hop flavor. Pretty bitter on the finish. Solid example of style. garroch (63) - New York, USA - JUL 5, 2017
Bought in a can from like every bodega ever (I love NYC). Pours copper-gold with moderate haze. White head dissipates quickly with heavy lacing. Lemon peel, pine and hop resin on the nose. Bright and bitter flavor; caramel, grapefruit, tangerine, pine, crackers. Bitter and peppery finish with a lingering pine aftertaste. Crackery malt backbone holds it all together. Thick and chewy texture, oily and smooth. Fine and aggressive carbonation. Barely noticeable booze for such high gravity. A big beer, super solid. I'm all about trendy DDH IPAs these days but Puff reminds me of how much I love Sixpoint.
