COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and we’re ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isn’t a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going ’round this winter. It isn’t our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. It’s a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA — but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

Can to snifter. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus, caramel. Pour is light copper colored with a white head. Flavor is spicy hops, citrus, grapefruit, bitter pumelo, light malt. Good stuff, Thanks Harold!

Can. Pours orange. Aroma is stellar! Grapefruit, citrus, and hops. 2 1/2 fingers of head. I’m constantly amazed at these canned IPA’s. Well balanced hops for it’s strength.

Hazy golden-orange colored pour. Sizable white head that leaves a blanket of lacing behind. Hoppy aroma. Some citrus and a weird rubbery aroma. Nice flavor of citrusy hops and malt. Sweet and fruity. Not bad at all.

12oz can @ ABC
Appearance - Clean orange, big messy head
Aroma - Caramel, grapefruit peel, hops
Taste - Sweet malt, sweeter tangerine, dry hops, grapefruit bitter

This was a great brew, lots of sweetness and then profound bitterness in the end. A true rollercoaster of flavors on the palate of a hop-head for sure.

Can. WAY too boozy for my tastes. I've had a lot of drinkable IPAs of this strength before, and this just is not one of them.

On tap at the Blind Monk. Murky amber pour with a white head. Pine and woody hop aromas. Mild pine/wood/citrus hop notes. Not an overly malty beer, but yet the hops are not very bold. A little bland and muted. Decent body and mouthfeel.

Can and a few tap samples from time to time Purchased at Specs In El Paso, TX June 2013-pours bright orange with a nice fluffy white head. nose is mostly piney hops, not really all that punch however clean. nothing really gives this beer away-pretty standard however, its smells like an ipa that would have been brewed 8-10 yrs ago in terms of its lack of complexity. just alot of sort of resinous hops, pine and earth. not as dirty as say moylans but still a bit dirty. flavors exhibit the pine and resin in the hop notes with nothing really taking this one very far. very lite alcohol heat with lots of resinous notes long into the finish. pretty non-descript IIPA if you ask me.

4 pack of cans. Delicious beer. Surprisingly balanced and very drinkable for the high abv and ibus. Floral fresh hop flavor and sweet maltiness.

This little four pack is a little honey! Don’t let the can fool you this has a wallop of flavor inside! It is hoppy but is fresh and has a clean feel to it. It is not overpowering. I would take this fella if you went fishing or had nothing better to do than listen to Christopher Cross. I say if you are a fan of IPA go check it out! I say, yes!!!

can. lightly hazy gold with a very large, fluffy, white head. ctirus and pine with a bit of spicy cinnamon in the aroma. could there be some amarillo? very light and fluffy body. flavors are delicate balance of hop and malt sweetness, never too harsh or overly bitter. low carbonation, drinks like juice. abv is hidden. i’m really liking some these sixpoint offerings.
