COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Its been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and were ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isnt a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going round this winter. It isnt our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. Its a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

Nice resinous aroma some pine some citrus, grapefruit and rind. Really beautiful glowing honey with slightly off white head holding at a finger. Already leaving lacing as it subsides. Taste is bitter, some citrus rind, but mostly just sort of anonymously bitter. Not getting a lot in the way of intricacies. Meh.

Can from Becketts Bank, Leeds. Deeper, slightly hazed amber with a small head. Strong tasting with an initial tropical fruit aroma and taste that gives way to caramel and toffee flavours.

Lovely dry hopped finish, sadly not too much else going on flavour wise, but still not a bad tipple. Packs a punch at 9.1%, you know youve had it!

16-APR-2017, can @Kregme Boxen. Golden with a low White head. Aroma is very hoppy with citrus and flowers. Taste the same. Sweet and malty but no caramel malt - more like bisquit and fruit. Ahm! I like it:-)

Can from JDW. Decent- malt heavy with plenty of caramel from the malts and not much from the hops - a little grapefruit and pine. Medium body. Amber, with a reasonable head.

The aroma is full of hops, caramel malt, flowers, citrus, lemon, lime and orange peel. The color is caramellike. The taste is full of hops, caramel malt, lemon and lime. A nice beer but too malty.
