COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Its been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and were ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isnt a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going round this winter. It isnt our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. Its a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

From the can. No head, nice light golden color. Pine note at the front with a typical IPA flavor in the back end. A nice IPA overall.

12oz can from The Square Peg (JDW) Birmingham on 13-Jan-2016. Clear golden amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, sweet malt and resinous pine. Medium body and carbonation. Light sweetness of honey, sweet malt, bitter grapefruit and orange peel. Heavily hopped. Pretty enjoyable.

Can from Beer Gonzo. Clear amber body with a thin off-white head. Steady carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of pine, honey and caramel. Flavour of blood orange, sweet resin and a bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with a sticky mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Mega bitter but incredibly drinkable. I really enjoyed this.

LCI. A very nice Imp IPA. Lots of hops, flowers and fruit. Not as powerful as the Puff, but still very nice.

Light golden, large head. Resin and spruce hops, light malt backup only. Spicy hop edge and alcohol warmth. Sharp bitter bite. Very nice, harsh but satisfying. (33cl bottle as tasted from Bertannes at Uncle Babes Gent)

Deze imperial IPA is goed van smaak: een vol boeket aan veldbloemen, hopbitterheid en wat sinaasappel. Ook een mooie volle bloemengeur. Amberkleurig met wat snel wegtrekkend schuim.

Can at Wetherspoons. Lots of resin notes, pine, tropical fruits, also lots of garlic and onion for me sadly. Hides bitterness and alcohol well, does leave a fluffy aftertaste and alcohol warmth that is somewhat expected from the stats. Not that drinkable but a big IPA nonetheless.

Powerful aromas and flavors of resinous hop bitterness. Somewhat dank. Well balanced with enough sweetness. Moderately weighty and good copper color.
