Canned (backlog). Orangeish amber colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is resin, some tropical fruitiness, sweet malts and also some bready notes. Flavour is very similar with a slight sting of alcohol sweetness as well. Nice bitter finish. Not overdoing the hoppiness, which makes this a quite nice and fresh DIPA. Can shared at Sander’s, NYC during an evening during which we drank far, far too much beer. Pours clear gold with a light, foamy head. Nose of pee, alcohol and pine. Medium to big sweet flavor with lots of alcohol, pine, sugar, light toasty pale malts, lime. Full bodied with average carbonation. Warm finish with moderate resinous pine, mild grapefruit. It’s slightly harsh, to be honest, with a strong alcohol edge. So so overall. I’ll try this one again to see if it fares better, given that many people seem to have enjoyed it.
