COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Its been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and were ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isnt a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going round this winter. It isnt our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. Its a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

Hops come on strong and pack a punch. Slowly and pleasantly fade to some sweetness. Hoppy sweet aftertaste. Mellow minor head and fairly mellow carbonation. Super drinkable and refreshing considering all the hops. Strong but doesnt slap you in the face too hard ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A very reliable IIPA, on the dank/caramel end of the sepctrum, a la DF 90 min. Pours the standard light orange. Aroma is bitter pith, pine resin, light tropical fruit. Taste is bitter grapefruit, lemon, sticky caramel, resin, biscuit. Good balance of bitter and sweet, excellent drinkability for the abv.

A big, fat, prickly pine cone of an DIPA, oozing with oily, clingy bitterness, layering mild grapefruit and lemon hop notes on top of a thick caramel base. Grows herbaceous as it warms, perking up with a wet green slap of hoppy boisterousness, with increasing orange marmalade on the back. Dense, with a somewhat spiky texture, yet the finish grows easy and insanely dry, spiking your tongue with a tenacious IBU-loaded fade. Probably shouldnt have tried this after indulging in a Hopslam, but its still a delicious, mean-spirited Imperial IPA.

Canned.15cl sample. The aroma has tropical fruits, resin, toffee. Clear, copper coloured beer with a thin, off-white head. The taste is full bitter, bit harsh, juicy with toffee and biscuit malty background. Very nice.

Beautiful golden pour, looks thick, syrupy and yummy. Deceptive carbonation but not much head. Dry bready flavor spiked with sharp alcohol and hops. Thick mouthfeel that coats the tongue and then bursts into dry happiness and carbonation. This is not quite their High Res, but ever so tasty. I need to have his more often.

Can from a box into teku. aroma is moderate pine, catty, and tropical. More intense as it warms. Light crackery or biscuit malt aroma. Tight white bubbles make up a lightly off white head that clumps and rocks as it dissipates. Taste is moderately bitter with a sticky pine cone and lightly dank hop flavor. Holy cow, this is way better than I was expecting. Not sure why, but I always thought I disliked Six Point. Very solid all around DIPA, no sign of the high boost and the hop profile is well done. xolid.

This beer packs the punch youd expect for a hoppy double IPA, but its not overwhelming. Its got a nice color and a very rich taste without being too in-your-face. For non IPA fans, Id recommend this.
