Can at Momofuku in Toronto. A surprise to find this on the menu at a Toronto restaurant, as Sixpoint has never had any beer available up there previously - brought in as a private order, I guess. Pours a beautiful clear orange-gold with a snow white head that a lot of lacing. Aroma is excellent - sweet and bready malt, floral hops, a suggestion of lemon balm, all in balance. Crisp and clean body, just as the name suggests. Flavour is lovely, with floral, grassy & all-around snappy hops coming to the forefront without being too aggressively better. Maybe my surprise at finding it in an unexpected place has skewed my rating up by a couple of points, but its still one of the best lagers Ive had in ages.

12oz can pours yellow with fast fading head some lacing a bright nose with a rather average pilsner flavor very standard for the style.

Tap @ Kromme Haring, 25 cl sample. Modern lager. Prima.

355ml can from De Bierkoning. Clear golden with a medium white soapy head. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Nice bitterness with subtle sweet tones. Citrus, malts, grain and subtle caramel. Quality pilsener.

From can its clear sparkling gold with a lasting white head. Aroma is tropical fruit (pineapple juice, pear, mango), gelatin, artificial candy-like (SweeTarts). Medium-light bodied, lightly sweet approach before an overbearing finishing bitterness thats raw, grassy, stark. Dated best by Feb 08, 2017.

Apt name, since the hops are sharp and medicinal, lingering on the palate throughout the beer. Snappy apple with a cereal malt back, mildly sweet laced with a hint of tartness, followed by a strong Euro-hop finish. Drinkable, improving as it warms.

Can pour into taster cup at One Stop Market 30th Anniversary. Appearance is light yellow, light sparkle, thin ring of head. Aroma is subtle, nondescript. Taste is cracker, pilsner malt, tart. Palate is medium bodied with dry, tart finish. Overall, fairly bland and whats there is pretty run of the mill, but pilsener isnt really my style anyway.

Draft at Shepherd Park - Pours a clear rich gold, thin by foamy white head with slippery lace. Smells pretty fresh, clean, apples, a hoppy edge. Probably one of the best pilseners Ive had....very well rounded, well balanced taste. A subdued hoppy bite, floral grains, traces of citrus, no skunk, no corn flavor, some ripe apple up in there. Everything I like about the style, nothing I dont.
