Pours a clear golden yellow w/fizzy head. Aromas of smokey fruity hops and citrus. Smooth hoppy taste with citrus and woody tail. Aurelius (5371) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 18, 2015
Dubbel-y, faint creosote, fruity aroma. Clear, the color of dilute tea. "Grilled grapefruit" comes to mind. Toasted, light marmalade notes, acidic. Mature, complex sugars and different. Sturdy body, holds the right amount of carbonation for sipping. On tap, Growler County. mkel07 (6106) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - NOV 13, 2014
On tap at Archive Beer Boutique 071114. Super carbonated and the foam just keeps on foaming. You know a beer is good when even the foam tastes good. A little medicinal in the flavour department but in a good way. Darkmagus82 (2302) - - SEP 7, 2014

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – Served a clear orange-amber color with a one finger off white head. The head has a moderate level of retention, fading over time to give a decent level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma was a mix of sweet caramel and a bready aroma mixed with a lighter amount of smoke. Behind all these smells are some quite light notes of a citrus and earthy hop aroma giving a rather smoked but sweet dirty aroma overall.
Taste- The taste begins with a big dose of caramel sweetness mixed with a bready malty taste. Upfront there is a little bit of citrus in the taste mainly of a light grapefruit hop and some orange. As the taste advances more roasted malt flavors start entering the taste. With these flavors comes smoke and burnt flavors with notes of a salty bacon like taste and a light almost pepper flavor hitting the tongue. The citrus hop is then joined by a little bit of an earthy hop in the end leaving a smoky but somewhat hoppy flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer was on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the average side as well. Both are rather fitting for the smoky and hopped flavors of the brew balancing the drinkability and allowing all the flavors to be fully sensed by the tongue.
Overall- A nice smoky brew with a nice blend between sweet caramel, smoke/burnt flavors, and hop flavors. Quite tasty overall. unknownsoldier (8) - - AUG 31, 2014 does not count
Smells like a camp fire on clothes ... Looks golden amber... Not much head off the tap..tastes like ipa and wet smoked wood... Very good more than subtle and worth the buy...

Draft. Cloudy amber brown color, hugr fluffy beige head. Aroma of burning flowers, charred fruit. Taste is bitter fruit, edge of smoke. The combo works. nuplastikk (6312) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 11, 2013
Tap at Sugar Maple. Hazy orange-tan. Steady thin, soapy off-white head. Pleasant deep smoky aroma. Big in the flavor department, from a nice crisp hop tone to a steady smoky backdrop. The sterile feel of SIxpoint beers sort of detracts. OK. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 9, 2013
Draft at Alla Spina. Description ready "lightly smoked IPA"...very misleading. Nose of smoked meats, tobacco, menthol ciagrettes, mint flavored Skol. The only hops I picked up were herbal which I suppose is a good paring for the smoke. This is a smoked beer which might pair well with certain foods but on its own was very off putting. I could not finish this. Slipstream (2646) - USA - FEB 24, 2013
Draft from Whole Foods. This is a smoked pale ale, a little thin but good. Campfire smoke and snappy hops make for a very interesting brew. podey (638) - New York, New York, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Poured at Sixpoint tasting at Whole Foods Bowery Beer Room. Poured amber/golden in color with a small white head. The smokiness comes right through with hints of wood, malt and hops.
