On tap at the Hopleaf. Pours orange, not hazy nor brilliant, somewhere in between. The aroma is grapefruit and pine, but not very strong. The taste is a balanced IPA and I’m disappointed the Amarillo doesn’t come through more. Average carbonation and light body. Overall I was not too impressed as I had my expectations high for some amarillo goodness, but it still is a decent run of the mill IPA.
Pours clear golden orange with a big white head. Nose is grapefruit, caramel and some spice. Taste is sweet with a nice bitter background, but I should think it should be the other way around. Mouthfeel is crisp and clean, light body and a long finish. reggiedunlop (3725) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 20, 2012
Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head...nice lacing. Aroma has pine and light citrus notes. Flavor has pine and stonefruits...apricot and mango. Mouthfeel is medium and silky with a dry mango/pine finish. JulienHuxley (5877) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 31, 2012
On tap at Milkboy bar in Philly. Gold pour with frothy white head. Aroma of very fruity hops, typical Amarillo, tropical fruit galore. Taste is well balanced, dry and hoppy, bitter finish but not overly resinous. Tasty IPA. Jesterdeal (1985) - Marlton, New Jersey, USA - AUG 9, 2012
Aroma of citrus, oak and pine resin. Pours hazy orange with a small sudsy head. Taste is clean with notes of orange peel, grapefruit juice, and malts. Mouthfeel is clean and bitter. Great IPA.

Pours beautiful hazy golden orange with a creamy white head. Aroma brings notes of oranges from the hops, juicy but lighter. Flavor is similar, juicy citrus orange flavor and bitter hops come to settle smoothly on the palate. GT (10001) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 19, 2011
Tap at The Big Hunt in DC. The pour is a hazy light gold with a thin, creamy head. Mild lace. Nose is slightly off with cheese and loads of lemon juice. Taste is soapy, lemon, bitter. Thinner in the palate than the Chinook with significantly less nutty and high alpha acid bitterness and more lemon/zesty bitterness. More sessionable than the Chinook, but I didn’t enjoy this quite as much. Easily could have been damaged by Big Hunt’s notoriously bad tap lines.
