3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draft at 1808 in Columbus. Pours a hazy yellow-orange with a white head. Nose is amazing- great citra fruit, pineapple, mango, tropical fruit, papaya, and all manner of goodness. Flavor is light on those, but they are still prominent. A nice bit of caramel followed by some tropical fruit and some bitterness. Light to medium in body and a nice citra beer overall.
Light, refreshing. Good hops and flavor. A tiny bit hazy for an unfiltered look. Amber color. Tap. vinhol (344) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 10, 2014

Draft at Salvage BBQ, Pours a deep golden color with two fingers of white sticky foam. Nose is toasted malt, some light hop tropical fruit presence, stale grass and a hint of earthy spice. Palate follows with some citra influence but a heavier malt profile than i was hoping for. Nice balance of hop flavors bitterness and toasted malt but was hoping for more of a citra bomb and it just seems a bit light handed and stale. DrinkinWell (389) - - JUL 21, 2014
Pours a dull clear gold with frothy head and lacing. Floral, herbal aromas. Crisp bitterness, sweet citrus, hints of lemon flavors. A really nice, drinkable ale beerbill (3619) - Laurel, New York, USA - FEB 4, 2014
Growler. Pours a hazy gold with a moderate linen white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. Very pleasant aroma of fruity grapefruit, quite strong. Some notes of pine and sweet malt present as well, but clearly dominated by grapefruit. The flavor falls back a bit with malt with a touch of sweetness followed by a wash of borderline harsh hops bitterness. A bit too much for me. I popped a few Tums later as this beer gave me heartburn. Medium bodied.

Sample at 1808 American Bistro. Hazy orange color with a medium foamy white head that dissipates gradually. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops, pine and toasted malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Above average overall. crossovert (13080) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 12, 2013

In short: A fun fruity blond IPA. Good execution in simplicity
How: Tat at some white-trash bar in Tannersville NY (not listed on ratebeer) during their post-Tap-NY 2012 special Sixpoint event
The look: Cloudy golden-blond body topped by a persistent small off-white head
In long: Nose is tropical fruits butt this time without the cat urine that I oftern associate to Citra beers. Taste is clean full body with somewhat of a wheaty backbone sensation. Fun full body with a good carbonation. Hoppy is tropical fruits, grapefruits, maagoes and such… Everything is a bit toned down, this not a bouquet of hops or a bitterness bomb, this is a very quaffable brew. I liked it. Another pint of beer I had after a day of heavy drinking at the Tap-NY 2012 festival… just once I’d like to know what it’s like to go to a beer festival and not get totally drunk. But only just once though, all the other ones I want to get totally drunk .
