2.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy and golden, crisp, light, with a good underbelly of hop flavors that don't overwhelm. Not particularly fragrant or complex--should be great with grill food and BBQ.

Served on tap in a 10 oz chalice glass
Appearance – Served a golden amber color with a one finger white head. The head fades relatively quickly to give a lighter level of lacing.
Smell – The aroma is quite light overall. Some hop aromas of a citrus and earthy aroma. Creating a base are some sweeter smells of a tropical fruit and melon nature.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready base and a grapefruit hop taste. There is a lighter melon and tropical fruit taste upfront that fades fast as the taste advances. While the fruit taste fades, other hop flavors of an earthy nature come to the tongue. At the end a rather earthy/musty bitter hop flavor are left to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel - The body of the beer was rather average in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that was quite average as well. Overall the feel was decent for the bitter hop and breadier flavors of the beer, but was nothing too exceptional.
Overall – I liked the hop flavor that was left on the tongue, but other than that it was nothing too exceptional. I like the idea behind the Spice of Life series through and would recommend others to trying the beers if they get a chance. I look forward to trying more. blipp (9373) - La Mesa, California, USA - DEC 25, 2013
Draft. Pours hazy orange with an off white head. Fruity hops, light sweet malts, and lower than average bitterness. Not a bad Pale Ale, but not a good IPA. Still enjoyable, I guess. PhillyCraft (7345) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 9, 2013
Sample at Barcade with Barry, this thing was brutal with faint hops, German malt, weird spice, peppermint, and funk. Bland all around and not cutting it. kidmartinek (5001) - austin, Texas, USA - NOV 21, 2013
Cloudy orange color with a filmy white head. Minerally concrete aroma. Balanced well with the malt and.the hios and only a hint of malty citrus flavor. Clean palate with a residual bite. Pretty nice... for the most part. DialSquare (5062) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 20, 2013
I’m assuming I’ve got the correct beer here, but doubting it based on the other reviews. It was on tap at Fermentation Lounge as Sixpoint Summer IPA: floral, herbal, fairly bitter, resiny, tropical fruit, 7.2

On cask. Cat piss, dish soap and grass. Bitter mouthfeel but oily and thin. Very untasty. User37895 (3042) - - MAY 10, 2013
On draft. Orange color, ok initial head and lacing. The aroma was soapy, grainy, floral. Flavor was all that plus some herbal notes and spices. Mouthfeel average / moderate. An uninspired beer, subpar by far for pale ales. ben4321 (6535) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAR 26, 2013

Aroma: The nose is subtle hops, somewhat fruity and with some floral notes
Appearance: It has an unclear gold-orange pour, with a frothy white head and heavy lacing
Flavor: The taste is much the same, with light malts, and bitterness that is light for the style
Palate: It has a light-medium body, fairly soft carbonation, and a lightly dry finish
I really didn’t find this one to be all that exciting. It is drinkable, sessionable, and has a nice feel to it, but it isn’t hoppy enough for an IPA.
Draft at Alewife during the Sixpoint event with Andrew, Brendan and Frank. Pours a light amber body with white lacing. Aroma is soapy, grains, malt and faint hop. Mouthfeel is medium and dry with notes of unpleasant floral spices, soap, light grain, decent amount of malts and bitter citrus. Hard to finish this one.
