Aroma: The nose has floral hops, grapefruit, citrus rind, and some grainy notes
Appearance: This one has a hazy yellow pour, with a white head, and lots of sticky lace
Flavor: The taste is light sweet first and then it gets slightly more bitter later on
Palate: The body is medium, it is a hint sticky, with a dry, almost abrupt finish to it
This one is actually pretty solid. It isn’t an absolute standout of an IPA, nor it is a hop bomb, but I was happy to try it. I’ll have to be on the lookout for more of beers from this series.
Grapefruit peel nose. Cloudy orange, medium yellow head. Lemon zest ashy hints. Sudsy mouthfeel. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - NOV 29, 2012
(Draught) clearish medium-light gold, thick creamy offwhite head with excellent lacing. Nose of biscuit, freshly malted grain, light citrus rind, German hops, light earthiness. Taste of lightly earthy hops, sweet cream (seriously reminds me of a cream ale), medium carbonation, creamy finish, light orange rind finish, easy drinking and light spicy finish. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - MAR 23, 2013
On tap at Craft and Growler. Orange-gold color with a white head. Smells like a basic IPA with some orange and pine notes, as well as a little bit of pepper. This is a bit of a weird one in the flavor department. I get some orange citrus as well as some ginger and a bit of pepper. There is also some pine and a little bit of ash. All of this doesn’t really go too well together in my opinion. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 14, 2013
In short: A smooth floral and slightly spicy blond IPA.Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - NOV 3, 2012
How: Tap at Three Penny Taproom, Montpelier VT.
The look: Cloudy pale blond body topped by a small persistent white head.
In long: Nose is smoothly hoppy with soft floral notes, a bit dank, some watermelons. Taste offers a discreet pale malt body with almost no sweetness flavors. I think this shy malt backbone is appropriate for the smooth character of the hop profile. Far from intense, hopping is mostly floral, a bit grassy and with light spicy notes. Round bitterness of low-medium intensity. This is a relatively smooth IPA, tasty but never aggressive, a highly sessionnable beer but not one for the hopheads and bitterness lover. And I think it is pretty racist that pub owners force me to pay for my beer just because I’m not from the middle-eastern and with a bomb strapped to my body, racist I tell you.
extrremely floral IPA, hibiscus and honey. This is very cool, never even heard of this hop before.
