One of the two Sjarelkes developped at the brewery school of Sint-Lieven in Ghent. Tasted at Plato in Beveren-Waas. Sticky, medium thick, off-white, creamy head with pretty lacing, hazy peach blond colour. Very fruity aroma of peach, strawberry, pineapple, bread, grass, something plastic-like too. Sweet fruity taste, soft and yeasty with mellow mouthfeel, red apple, peach, bitterish in the finish with medium length, and bitterness coming from both grassy hops as yeast. Acceptable, nothing more, nothing less. thewolf (12714) - Kolding, DENMARK - JAN 13, 2013
Bottle, bought @ Belgianbeerstation. Pours clear yellow golden with a medium, staying, creamy, white head. Aroma has butter, doughy malts, earthy. Highish carbonation, fine dry and fairly light mouthfeel. Flavour is mild, bitter, cellar notes, light moldy. Good piney bitterness though. Not as horrible as it might sound. Light citrussy and warming. meerbier (1474) - Pijnacker, NETHERLANDS - MAR 1, 2011

33 cl bottle at Marie Therese in Leuven, on September 22, 2010
Cloudy orange color, nice lasting white head. Spicy, herbal, citrus scent, very fresh with the lemon finish. Sweet, estery, fruity, pineapple taste. Also some grape and more than a hint of bitterness. Moussy mouth feel. Bitterness is medium high, but to the dry side, long lingering. Unusual fr a Belgian Blond. Long citrus aftertaste. Refreshing.
