In smelling the beer, the first thing I noticed was the smell of peppers. You can also taste them. The color is deep and dark similar to the color of Guiness. ChiGuy68 (599) - Illinois, USA - FEB 22, 2013
Tasted from a 12oz. can. Pours dark brown with a bubbly head that fades quickly. Wonderful aroma of peppers and cocoa. You can taste the mole, but it’s not overpowering. As a fan of both mole and stouts, this is a natural for me. JStax (6505) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Poured from a 12 ounce can thanks to Errl. Pours a very dark brown, near black with a thick head of grey foam that dissipates very quickly. The aroma has mincemeat pie spices, chilies, chocolate. The pepper is coming through as a more rotten vegetable aroma than anything. Taste is very much spice oriented with a pepper burn toward the finish. I don’t know if I can take the rotting vegetable. I’m probably going to pour this. It’s just not for me. dalfaro86 (309) - Mexico City, MEXICO - FEB 9, 2013

12oz can poured into a wine glass.
Opaque black with no head.
Aromas of dark chocolate, espresso and wood grilled peppers, with hints of smoke and chicory.
Chocolaty flavors, roasted malts, noticeable spiciness but not extreme, faint tartness and medium bitterness.
Light-med bodied and quite dry, interesting but not satisfying enough to finish the hole glass. SperkeleForce (791) - FINLAND - FEB 4, 2013
Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours black almost without head with an nice gingerbread scent. Pretty mild taste but an ok aftertaste with notes of gingerbread, coffee, slightly chili, dark bread. satan165 (1020) - River Grove, Illinois, USA - FEB 2, 2013
aroma is initially dead metallic pushing forward to unsweetened bakers cocoa nibs, good roast, light pseudo smoke. hints of raspberry and other framboizen qualities. appearance is cola with beginnings of great head, oxygenated tanned dish soap bubbles that disperse very quickly leaving almost no legs and only central nucleation sans island. flavor is sweetened roast cut with tinge of smoke, fruity tartness brought by more raspberry. cocoa comes next now sweeter then as presented in nose, chilies are last and long lasting at that, wonderful smoke and intermittent hits of burn that just present enough to create salivation. amazing palate sizzles long lasting and lingers long and strong. dreadnord (1012) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Pours thin black with zero head. Looks like coca cola being poured. Nose is chocolate, Maple syrup, molasses and chili. Taste is sweet with a little bitter at the end. The mouthfeel is smooth, light body and a long finish.
