Can:   Black, deep cola hues on the edges, thin head, little to no lacing.   Soft roasted malt nose with a balanced pepper or chiles on the nose.   Sweet roasty start, with a little pepper background.   No real heat, perhaps a touch of chile spiciness that emerges moreso on the backside.   Seems well balanced between the sweeetness, the roasted malts, and the chile flavors/heat (what heat there is, and thankfully very little).   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Chiles and a little bit of peppery heat linger.   Better than expected!

Can thanks to thirdeye11. Poured a dark brown with no head at all. Taste of peppers, coco, spice. Watery and slick on the palate. A very unique brew

0.355 l bottle at Vihreä Haltiatar, Jyväskylä. Dark reddish brown color with instantly vanishing head. Slightly sweet woody cocoa and chili aroma with perfumed spiciness (cinnamon and clove). Taste of cocoa, licorice, cola, black pepper, clove, cinnamon and peppermint. Medium body, slightly woody palate with long lasting tingling spiciness. Chili tastes clearly but heat is low, nice. Quite complex. 1/2 feels good amount to drink, full bottle alone is a bit too much.

In smelling the beer, the first thing I noticed was the smell of peppers. You can also taste them. The color is deep and dark similar to the color of Guiness.

Tasted from a 12oz. can. Pours dark brown with a bubbly head that fades quickly. Wonderful aroma of peppers and cocoa. You can taste the mole, but it’s not overpowering. As a fan of both mole and stouts, this is a natural for me.

Poured from a 12 ounce can thanks to Errl. Pours a very dark brown, near black with a thick head of grey foam that dissipates very quickly. The aroma has mincemeat pie spices, chilies, chocolate. The pepper is coming through as a more rotten vegetable aroma than anything. Taste is very much spice oriented with a pepper burn toward the finish. I don’t know if I can take the rotting vegetable. I’m probably going to pour this. It’s just not for me.

12 oz can from a trade with cbkschubert. Pours black with light brown head. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate and chili peppers. Sweet milk chocolate and roasted malt flavors. Moderate heat from the chili peppers in the back end. Full body with moderate carbonation. Thanks Craig.

12oz can poured into a wine glass. Opaque black with no head. Aromas of dark chocolate, espresso and wood grilled peppers, with hints of smoke and chicory. Chocolaty flavors, roasted malts, noticeable spiciness but not extreme, faint tartness and medium bitterness. Light-med bodied and quite dry, interesting but not satisfying enough to finish the hole glass.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours black almost without head with an nice gingerbread scent. Pretty mild taste but an ok aftertaste with notes of gingerbread, coffee, slightly chili, dark bread.
