COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Brown Ale has a touch of nuttiness provided by our good friends Mr. and Mrs. Victory and Munich Malt. The addition of Northern Brewer, Cascade, and Willamette hops smooth this beer out to create an incredibly drinkable Brown Ale.

Dark brown color, with a fluffy beige head, leaving laces, toasty, caramel malt nose, with a buttery hazelnut, chestnut accent, with some toffee, cookie dough notes, hints of chocolate, dried fig in the aroma folows through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet toasty, nutty character, with a cookie dough, toffee accent, with some hnits of coffee bean roastiness and dark chocolate, leading towards a malty, lingering roasted bitterness finish.

This simple brown ale was one of five different beers I tried while visiting Chicago on July 4 09. It was pretty basic. A bit of a let down.

nice dark mahogany. Nutty and earthy aroma that I really enjoy. Thinner body than I’d prefer. A sweet malty flavor that is pretty decent.

Bottle from BR R - taking that for Beer Revolution. Probably in the frig for 6 months. Pours clear but dark ruddy brown with a slight beige head. Aroma of brown ale type malt. A little hop spice too - maybe even a hint of cinnamon. Med minus body. It’s a bit sweet - not very hoppy. There’s some lightly greasy nuttiness. And it’s finishing very lightly astringent and dry. Something changed there. Fairly tasty.

Pours a light chestnut brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is of toasted malts, caramel, nutty malts, light coco, and some light hops. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi watery mouthfeel and a mostly sweet, medium-short finish. Overall, a rather lackluster brown ale from a brewery I expected more from,

Bottle at home. Clear orange-red coloured with a small off-white head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel, bread and nuts with notes of burnt sugar. Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel, bread and hops. Sweet and hoppy finish.
