(Can) Black colour with dense, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, treacle, black rye bread, dark chocolate and dried fruit. Malty, roasted taste with sweet black coffee, black rye bread, soy sauce, dark chocolate, brown sugar and a generous roasted bitterness in the finish. Can’t really detect much of the grapes, possibly a touch coming through towards the end. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Complex but still quite well balanced and tasty. Nice one.

On tap @ Radio Maria. Dark walnut brown. Sweet cola-ish nondescript aroma. Roasty palate with a fruity acidity that lends to drinkability.

TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 25, 2014
Had this on tap at the Lake Flying Saucer. Pours a nice black color. Oak, cocoa, and dark fruit on the nose, followed onto the palate. Ends with a bit of roasty malt flavor.

Dfonorow (2250) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 24, 2014
On tap at Haymarket. Pour is deep black with a medium brown head. Aroma and flavor of light roast, cream, raspberry, oak chips, earth, and grapes. Finish is syrupy and sweet.

TizzleJizzle (792) - Garland, Texas, USA - APR 22, 2014
12 oz can. Poured a black with a thin khaki top. Taste of cocoa, roasted malt, vanallia, and sweet. Medium carbonation, thick body. Very complex brew!

degbert (1776) - Austin, Texas, USA - APR 12, 2014
Can. Pours an opaque brown-black with hints of red highlights and a high, tan, coarse-grained head. Nose is mostly smoke, cinnamon, vanilla and coffee; there might be a slight hint of dark fruit. On the tongue, it’s sweet with low carbonation; vanilla latte, nutmeg, and just a touch of wine. It has layers of spicy complexity that deepen the longer it stays in the mouth; an amazingly long, rich, and multifaceted finish that keeps changing. Very, very interesting.

bytemesis (8970) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - APR 9, 2014
Tap. Pours opaque black, small creamy brown head, nice lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, cocoa, red wine. Flavor is similar, perhaps a hint of oak, but not much, light sweet, light bitter. Medium body. Interesting.

Dogbrick (13547) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 7, 2014
This brew pours jet black with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Patchy lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and oak. Medium-bodied with flavors of roast coffee, charred malt, and chocolate. The finish is mocha and burnt malt. Pretty good overall.

3.9
Jerm719 (195) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - APR 4, 2014
Nice body. Dark roasted coffee bean, cacao, earth, wood. Hints of Malbec. Bit of the dark fruit and some plum. Balanced earthy hops on the finish. Medium/ long finish. Nice beer!

Looks like a stout. Aroma of loam, wood, chocolate and a bit of fruit. Grape/wine notes are stronger in the taste but still quite light.
