Aroma- Chocolate, some roastiness, vanilla Appearance- Motor oil, dark tan 1 finger head Taste- Huge hop flavor at the front of the tongue, middle dark bitter chocolate, coffee, caramel, bourbon notes, finish is bitter, roasty, dry coffee Palate- Full-bodied, motor oil thickness Overall- Overall, this is an excellent imperial stout. I don’t pick up any of the malbec grape juice, but I think that’s a good thing. I would definitely buy it again.

Bottle - Grape and dark malts. Jet black with beige head. Charred malts, burnt coffee and a long finish. To much char for me.

Draft at Thirsty Monk. Pours dark brown with a medium beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, some chocolate, grape juice, sweet malts caramel, but the body is not up to an imperial stout standard.

Draft opaque black with brown hue. Nose light roast and faint fruit. Taste vague floral minimal roast. Light mouth feel. Very light thin finish.

Chocolate coffee aroma and dark brown color. Has a large frothy head. Sweet coffee chocolate flavor.

erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - JAN 5, 2014
Black bodied, dense tan head. Very fruity, raspberry, creamy, buttermilk, roasted malts. Sticky sweetness, not very balanced. Not really for me, to be honest. It’s too sweet I’m afraid. Doesn’t need the alcohol either. (On tap at Easy Tiger)

Can at Wigwam. Interesting stout overall. Tough to fit into a category for me.... must be a foreign stout thing. I think the grapes add a little of flavor and hint of sweetness/mustiness. Nice.
