It’s Old Man Bitter

A mix of citrus and pine that will remind you of the time you went on a vision quest with your Native American cousin and you woke up in a pine grove full of grapefruit trees.

An American-style India Pale Ale with a deep golden-orange color. Bitter and hoppy, with a surprisingly smooth finish.

Modus Hoperandi, an IPA sitting at 6.8% ABV and 65 IBUs.

Pours deep orange (wow, so dark for an IPA). Pleasant aroma. Decent foam and snappy bitterness. Well named brew.

Hazy amber, off-white head. Sweet resiny aroma, malts and pine and even something eucalyptus. Similar taste, quite malty but also resiny - kinda like cough syrup or Halls candies. And very little citrus. Good.

Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Pours rich amber with a big foamy beige head. It has a resin aroma. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is piney resin. Could be a Nose of pine and grapefruit. Very resinous mouth feel. Flavor is rich caramel malts, with a lot of pine and citrus. Finishes bitter and so resinous it puckers you up. Very tasty, Nice IPA.

Nice big fat white head, coppery orange in color. Aromas of caramel, pine, malts. Taste has malt, citric fruit, a little grapefruit at the end. Great classic aroma, moderate hoppiness in a light to medium body, low to medium carbonation. Pleasant with a simplistic but good taste.

UPDATED: MAR 26, 2017 Clear amber. White fluffy foam that creates a nice hilly landscape as it sinks in. Nose is alcohol, candy, piney almost a bit burnt, some not so pleasant smells maybe solvent or fuel. Taste is very integrated – not really any “phases” in the experience. Taste: Piney and almost roasted qualities as well as not so pronounced fruit mainly orange and citrus. Altough exciting, it is too much, like a soup of hops with a synthetic touch.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2017 Keg at Bishops Arms Östersund & can at home. Both experiences delightful. A very powerful IPA, bursting with hops and brutally bitter. Tasting notes heavy on wood, Christmas pine. Best drunk slowly. Remmeber it being a lot more enjoyable on keh, previous rating of 4.7.

smooth with nice head that has good body to it. full enough body and orange with hop and malt. powerful enough in both areas. fresh malt flavor balances well with the mostly citrus hop character. a touch of alcohol and a nice moderate finish.
