355 ml can. Clear copper golden body with a big off-white head that fades rather quick. Fantastic aroma of strong citrus like peaches, grapefruit and pine with caramel. Flavor is nice and fruity refreshing with a caramel malt base. Rally smooth and does actually not feels particular bitter at all. Very nice aroma and a fresh start, but a bit short on the aftertaste. A great thirst-quencher.

At initial glance, Id have to say this beer is overrated due to being in a can. Even for an IPA, its a bit too bitter/resiny to be much better. It is certainly enjoyable, but needs a bit more balance as the Northwest style hops are overwhelming.

(Can, Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 22 Jan 2011) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of pine needles, grapefruit, toasty malt and orange peel. Fruity, hoppy taste with grapefruit, pine needles, orange peel and fresh hops in the finish. More than medium body, with balanced sweetness. A bit one dimensional, but very tasty and nice.

Can:   Bright orangish amber, moderate to large frothy white head, fairly sticky lacing.   So far its looks pretty good!   The nose is a combination of soft wet hops, a little dank, with some faint earthy malt like aromas.   Almost has an overcooked vegetable like presense, but it stops short of being unpleasant.   Soft sweet hoppiness up front, hoppy yet not bitter, with an underlying aspect of wet cardboard.   While it sounds bad, its not too strong.   Dank without all the basement is a way I would describe this.   Not bright, not dull, but right in the middle.   The finish seems a little stale, almost like an orange peel infused cardboard coaster.   Sounds bad, but its actually not.   This one has some flavor, but those flavors arent all that sharp.   Thanks to drfabulous for the can!

Poured into a pint glass. 4.5 A: Clear dark orange/amber color. Big creamy head with excellent retention and lots of lacing. 3.5 S: Mild hop aroma with citrus (grapefruit) and pine. Caramel malts. Not bad, but could be more intense. 4.0 T: Not too big on hops like I like my IPAs, but this is a winner none the less. Its an elegant mix of piney hops and a great malt bill. Caramel malts add a touch of roasted flavor that is not overwhelming, but rather meshes well with the rest of the brew. 4.0 M: Medium body. Good carbonation and creamy like I like these. 5.0 D: Solid brew. Thanks to scray24 for the chance to try this. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 05-26-2009 21:50:19
