On tap poured a clear brown hue w/ medium tan head fully dimmed and sticky lacing. Moderate roasty malt and sweet chocolate aromas. Initial flavor is moderate sweet w/ a light bitter finish. Tastes are brown sugar, fig, chocolate, light roast coffee and graham cracker. Full bodied.

Small head with minor lacing. Aroma of chocolate, booze, and some vegetal and syrupy malt off-aromas, unfortunately. Flavor: better and more complex - chocolate, booze, vegetal off-flavor, smoke, licorice, cream. Good, but could have been better. Not my favorite impy porter, and I love this style. Dark cola color with khaki colored head on the surface. Smells of umami, tomato, caramel malt. Almost has an oak barrel smell even though it's not the barrel aged version. Taste is a roasty coffee, chocolate. Nothing like how it smells. Also has a tea, tannic quality with a little spicy charred hops at the end. Not bad overall, but I don't care for the smell.
