22floz bottle, dated 07.09.2017 (unknown if BBD or BOD), $5, pint glass. Dark brown, with little head, a molasses aroma, oily full body of the same, but roasted and finishes a little smoky. Oh so very so-so. Theydon_Bois (21423) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - OCT 17, 2017
Bottle split at Chris & Ruths pre GBBF Shin Dig, cheers for all the shares, 05/08/17.
Black with a decent tan cap.
Nose is roast malt, chocolate, liquorice, light spice.
Taste comprises toffee fudge, light charr, roasted bite, faint coffee grinds, brown bread, chocolate biscuit.
Medium bodied plus, fine carbonation, drying close with a roasted schmack.
Average boosty porter ... lacks depth for the ABV.

August 2017 - Bottle share at Chriso's Pre-GBBF Shindiggery. As 'SKA Nefarious Ten Pin Imperial Porter', 8%, wax top. This is one of those beers I've seen around in bombers for £10 and could never quite find the motivation to buy - thanks to Kenny for pulling the trigger. Dark brown with an orange hue, foamy brown head, dotted lacing. Aroma is dark biscuits, cookie and bourbon biscuit. Body is frothy with soft carbonation. Taste is toffee, bourbon biscuits with a cardboard-ish finish. OK stuff – drinks like it has a lower ABV. Doesn't deliver as much flavour as you'd expect. Bottle at C&R Pre-GBBF Tasting 2017. It pours jet black with a soft, sweetish, malt - driven, treacle, dried berry, candy, berry and liquorice. The taste is bitter - sweet, earthy roast, toast, wood, drying, tannin, cola, dried fruits, cocoa, tar, alcohol and liquorice with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not a huge amount to it really, pretty sub standard for the style in my opinion. MrTipple (6952) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 21, 2017
Sweet, toasted, dark grain malts, caramel, dark malts, dark fruits. Hazy, very dark brown, medium, creamy, beige head. Medium sweet. More sweet, dark molasses, caramel, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Very sweet, alright. Bottle at Chriso & Ruth’s pre-GBBF shindig, Kensal Rise. madmitch76 (26366) - , Essex, ENGLAND - AUG 12, 2017

The great pre GBBF bottleshare at ChrisO’s. Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Smooth airy palate, good fine carbonation. Soft dark malts, a little malt cream. Some roast bitterness. Touch of dark chocolate. Airy dry finish. Pretty standard stuff really.
