Bottled. Pours deep brown to black with beige head. Potent, volatile aroma up front with acetone character. Sweet roasted malt aroma comes through underneath. Flavor is light and fruity developing into simple toffee and chocolate notes on the finish. Thin mouthfeel, light bodied. Lacking in body and depth, but a very approachable and easy-drinking milk stout with an unfortunate off-aroma.

Taste: semi sweet lactose, caramel malt, cocoa. Burnt milk nose. Black, opaque, with a smaller head of delicate lace. Medium body. I not sure how fresh this can was. May have try it on tap someday.

12 oz. can at Lunar Brewing Co. displaying a viscous looking pour to a shaker, a black/brown hue, with a sudsy layer of brownish tan head foam that turned cakey and lingered awhile, and a sheet-like coating of spray as lacing. The nose was roasted, light woodiness, with hints of sassafras & anise, cold pressed coffee, and some cocoa on the back. A little more than medium bodied, with better than average carbonation for a Stout, the taste was similar, showed modest roasted & earthy bitterness, light sweetness, slightly slick, but no real creaminess from the milk sugar. A decently drinkable Stout, nonetheless.

355ml can. Pours a dark black, tan head. Aroma is peat, roast, coffee, cocoa, smoke, caramel, fruit, smells complex. Falvor is good not too sweet for a milk stout, rich and creamy mostly cocoa flavor.

Rich, very dark brown coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall deep brown head and a lot of opacity, probably around 90% - nice and thick looking. Aroma of roasted malt, tons of lactose, nuts, earth, soy sauce and bunches of cream - strong and pungent, for sure. Full-bodied; Very rich creamy and milky flavour with a lot of lactose, some cherries and a little residual nutty and earthy flavours near the end. Aftertaste is relatively smooth, but the body is strong and the malt and cream pungency cant be hidden - and its a good thing, but you have to expect it. Overall, a very nice milk stout with a ton of lactose and other creamy flavours with a rich malt backbone, some subtle complexities and a well pointed flavour profile that fits the style very well. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Colorado Liqour in Colorado Springs, Colorado on 02-July-2016 from my boss - thanks Jeff, a few hours before leaving for North Dakota on 03-October-2016.

12 oz. bottle. Pitch black, with a small, bubbly, fleeting head. Light coffee, syrup, dirt, and butter toffee. Sweet and roasty, with a sharp bitterness. Medium to heavy body, very sticky and clingy. This is a bitter, relatively harsh milk stout. Still, pretty tasty.
