Bottle. The pour was a thick dark black with an average sized (1-2 finger) frothy light brown head that was mostly diminishing with just a little residue left to cling to the glass thus producing some really excellent lacing. The aroma had a strong scent of a burnt chocolate malt and a sweet doughy yeast with notes of toffee, dark chocolate, coffee, caramel and lactose. The taste was a nice malty sweet and very smooth with a note of toffee and chocolate in the beginning and finished with a sweet chocolate-coffee flavor that had a milky caramel presence at the end. The flavor lasted an average duration after the swallow which was just long enough for the milky chocolate-coffee flavor to settle in. Mouthfeel was somewhere between medium and full in body with a nice creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Overall a nice smooth creamy tasting Brew with a great drinkability.

Black pour, medium beige head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, toasted nuts and a hint of lactose. Flavor is chocolate, toast, char, roast, chocolate, a hint of coffee, and some earthy hops. Medium body, creamy to slick feel, medium carbonation. Good stuff, pretty standard for the style.

Canned @ Oliver Twist. Black with a medium size khaki head, some lacing. Sweet milk chocolate aroma, toast, molasses and rye bread. Silky mouthfeel, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Taste is a bit more roasted and ashes, still milk chocolate creamy. Grassy and dry finish with very mild bitterness.

The aroma of dark malt and sweetness. The taste is sweet. Same as the fragrance. Exquisite bitterness that fills the upper part of the mouth for a long time. Wonderful and easy to drink beer. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Taste: semi sweet lactose, caramel malt, cocoa. Burnt milk nose. Black, opaque, with a smaller head of delicate lace. Medium body. I not sure how fresh this can was. May have try it on tap someday.

12 oz. can at Lunar Brewing Co. displaying a viscous looking pour to a shaker, a black/brown hue, with a sudsy layer of brownish tan head foam that turned cakey and lingered awhile, and a sheet-like coating of spray as lacing. The nose was roasted, light woodiness, with hints of sassafras & anise, cold pressed coffee, and some cocoa on the back. A little more than medium bodied, with better than average carbonation for a Stout, the taste was similar, showed modest roasted & earthy bitterness, light sweetness, slightly slick, but no real creaminess from the milk sugar. A decently drinkable Stout, nonetheless.

355ml can. Pours a dark black, tan head. Aroma is peat, roast, coffee, cocoa, smoke, caramel, fruit, smells complex. Falvor is good not too sweet for a milk stout, rich and creamy mostly cocoa flavor.
