Bottle at Brewdog Edinburgh. Black color, beige head. Bitter taste with roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, nuts. Bittersweet finish with roasted malts, nuts. Very nice porter. alexandersh (196) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - JUN 18, 2013
Bottle; Poured dark brown/black with a small tan head. Aroma: Espresso, coffee. Flavor: Bitter, bitter, bitter. Watery finish notes of malt present but overpowered by its bitterness. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - JUN 18, 2013
Bottle; poured a dark brown/black color. Aroma of coffee, cocoa and caramel. All a bit muted however. Flavor was the same. Not bad, but really lacking in depth and assertiveness. A nice touch of sweetness, but just lacking somewhat. chinchill (5226) - South Carolina, USA - JUN 1, 2013
12 oz bottle poured nearly black but actually dark brown with orangish highlights. The tan head is moderate in size and retention. Good lacing.
S: A surprising amount of coffee in the aroma, with plenty of dark roasted malts and a hint of chocolate.
T: Roasted malts, soft coffee, toffee and a little brown sugar. Slightly sweet at the start but turns nearly bitter by the finish
M-- Light-medium body and carbonation.
O: A good porter, not overly sweet despite the apparent dirth of hops. RobertDale (6755) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - MAR 22, 2013

Not my favourite from SKA, but a decent porter. Pours black with almost no head. appears pretty carbonated- almost looks like coke when you first pour it. The malt flavours really come through- pretty sweet with a medium mouthfeel. Chocolate, cherries, spice, toast. Mouthfeel is medium- sort of a strange finish- something I can’t quite wrap my palate around. Not overly hoppy- almost too sweet for a porter. decent, just feels not quite balanced. I drank a founders porter about a week ago and should have sworn off porters for the month- nothing is quite living up to that. ajnepple (6979) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 17, 2013
12 oz bottle pours black with minimal tan head and no lacing. Aroma and flavor are rich and dark roasted malts, chocolate, caramel and fruity hop spiciness. Medium body with a slick, smooth texture and average carbonation. Finish is a bit dry, light hops and grains. Complex and robust flavor EtTuCthulhu (1391) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - JAN 14, 2013
The aroma is subtle yet hoppy and of basement aromas, and the appearance of the beer is dark brown with nearly no head. The beer is of a medium bitterness and slightly sweet, but the body of the beer is full. The texture is thick and slick, and the finish is slightly bitter. jmohno (1652) - Iowa, USA - DEC 15, 2012
Black, quick dimished head,no foam or froth retention.
Sweet mild chocolate with some buiscuit.
Taste is kind of average, light roast, mild chocolate, some herbal/earthiness,kind of flat and watery, some cherry notes that some dark beers tend to have from chocolate malt maybe, didnt like the finish, kinda diet choco-cherrie cola, semisweet. Ok. Not that great. KajII (800) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - NOV 28, 2012
12oz Bottle. The pour was a murky dark brown with an average (1-2 finger) light brown frothy head that receded down to a medium film and large collar thus creating good runny lacing.
The aroma was on the mild side with a roasted dark bread malt, light resin hops and a sweaty yeast along with notes of milk chocolate and coffee.
The taste was lightly roasty and somewhat sweet with a touch of chocolate from the onset, progressing with a light bitterness and a nice note of coffee towards the finish. The flavor lasted an average time proceeding the swallow with a slight bitter roastiness left behind.
Mouthfeel was a few shades below medium in body with a thin watery texture and a soft carbonation.
Overall I found this brew to be rather thin for a Porter, although it was quite flavorful and very easy going down...
