12oz Bottle. The pour was a murky dark brown with an average (1-2 finger) light brown frothy head that receded down to a medium film and large collar thus creating good runny lacing.
The aroma was on the mild side with a roasted dark bread malt, light resin hops and a sweaty yeast along with notes of milk chocolate and coffee.
The taste was lightly roasty and somewhat sweet with a touch of chocolate from the onset, progressing with a light bitterness and a nice note of coffee towards the finish. The flavor lasted an average time proceeding the swallow with a slight bitter roastiness left behind.
Mouthfeel was a few shades below medium in body with a thin watery texture and a soft carbonation.
Overall I found this brew to be rather thin for a Porter, although it was quite flavorful and very easy going down...
An average porter at best. Had side by side with the imperial. The impy was what this should have been and this one, while pleasant enough, was weak in body and flavor for the style. Meh. GranvilleTim (1855) - Granville, Illinois, USA - FEB 20, 2015

Shared 12 oz. bottle poured to rocks glasses, showing a black/brown hue, with a modest layer of brownish tan foam, and light, wavy lacing. The nose was roasted, with some char & smoke dryness. Medium bodied, with average carbonation, the taste presented a barley-like graininess, moderate, earthy & woody bitterness, more noticeable cocoa notes upon warming, and a hint of brine, reminiscent of an oyster Stout. A fairly tasty & robust Porter. gschrade (1084) - Collinsville, Illinois, USA - DEC 18, 2013
I had this at Global Brew. Pours black with a brown head. Taste chocolate, roasted malt, coffee. I thought this was so so. I would skip this in the future.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a dark brown appearance with a brown head. Roasty malty, coffee, light anise, fairly herbal, a touch fruity aroma. Slightly acidic, chocolate, coffee, slightly burnt flavor. Not a big fan of this one.
