Growing up in Skagen, Rav Larsen was an original, almost always seen down by the harbour, selling amber jewelry and his little paintings from his bike. With a long white beer, one would be wondering if it was Santa Claus summer job, but he was a lot more fit. He spoke French and had apparently been in the foreign legion. I wish this beer had taken some of this into account, maybe a strong Belgian quad would have been more appropriate. As it is, I think this is a bit of a let-down. The colour is very correct, as Rav (Amber) Larsen would have wanted Im sure, but aside from that, this is far less challenging a beer for such a strong character of a man.

yngwie (16711) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 18, 2013
Bottle. Its an unclear, golden beer with a small, dense, off-white to light beige head. The aroma is fruity with some sweetness, a faint whiff of yeast, and a tropical fruit syrup touch. The flavor has a faint bitterness as well as tropical fruits, sweetness and a little touch of yeast. Medium to full body. A quite pleasant and easy drinkable beer, but I cant say it reminds me much of a dunkelweizen. But of course I dont know if thats the intention either. And of course it doesnt matter, beer shouldnt necessary be brewed to style. 121130
