Den vinder dog lidt over tid. ken1 (2043) - DENMARK - AUG 16, 2016

Medium offwhite head. Hazy brown body. Rock sugar and dried fruit
aroma with caramelly notes. Sweetish raisiny caramelly taste with
spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish syrupy rye crisp
bread aftertaste with spicy notes. Nice, drinkable, quite vivid. (0.5l
bottle, from Føtex Frederikshavn.) erling1000 (765) - - MAY 5, 2016

WTF? It smells like... shrimps? Since I’ve caught a cold I assume that it’s my nose that’s the problem here, so I keep sniffing. Ok, the sea creatures are not the strongest elements, but I swear that they are there in the back, behind the wall of sweet maltiness: malt extract, cereal, caramel and malt extract. The flavour is pretty strong, the shrimps are gone and the profile is a bit more complex than pure malt-mania. Caramel and nuts are the strongest notes, then malt extract, sweet fruits, dark dried fruits, brown sugar and hints of herbs. Moderate sweet taste with a light bitter and long-lasting finish. Mid-bodied and quite softly carbonated. A nice and malty sweet vienna! But the brewery is probably located a bit too close to the harbour.
