(bought from Denmark) - 30/4/2011. Dark Brown appearance with small head. Aroma has caramelly maltness and some smoke. Taste also with caramelly maltness and a hint of alcohol. Palate is quite sweet and sticky. A bit too alcoholic and sweet for my taste. Quite nice still.
Bottle. Dark cloudy amber with an off white head. Head fades fairly quick. Aroma of Caramel, bread and a faint coffee aroma. Malty sweetness with a bit of roasted bitterness in the aftertaste. Holmen1 (6666) - Stavanger, NORWAY - JUL 27, 2017
Beerhunter111 (23281) - Beerland, GERMANY - FEB 4, 2017
50cl bottle from a trade with Rasmus40, many thanks! Pours clear reddish brown colour with a huge good lasting beige head. Aroma of strong dark malt, red fruits, some wood, caramelish malt. Taste of dark malt, medium sweet, some chocolate, caramel, red fruits, quite nice! mikkellund42 (924) - DENMARK - OCT 4, 2016
Bottle. Pours dark cola with small white head. Aroma is malt, malt syrup, roasted chestnuts, hiprose jam, blackberry and hints sea breeze. Taste is medium to very sweet, light bitter and light acidic. Body is oily with light fizzy carbonation. Finish is medium long and mostly sweet with notes that follow the nose plus notes of sweet licorice.

Bottle from my dad. Pours dark brown with beige head. Light, caramel aroma and taste with some nuts, figs, some roast. Well balanced and drinkable but far from the best in style. knasputte78 (661) - SWEDEN - JAN 10, 2016
Dubbelbock med portvinstoner och russin. Brun och klar. Trevligt att dricka den på plats, det drar upp betyget

Foam is renewable and emits a wonderfully pleasant aroma of hard roasted malt with caramel and nuts. The taste is unsurpassed lovely with good malt sweetness, slightly roasted malt, a little fig and nuts. I have tasted many ’real German’ doppelbocks as not approaching this bock in fullness and enjoyment. Hop bitterness is the ease bitter fullness pulls aftertaste protracted without killing malt body and sweetness. It is crisp and has just the edge of sweet malt and bitter hops like a good doppelbocks need. Very well brewed and tasty. DroolYeast (1785) - Odder, DENMARK - SEP 14, 2015
Caramel, ripe banana, some roasted malt. Dark brown, no head. Moderate sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average sweetness, sweet caramel finish. tfredvik (2081) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 26, 2015
Pours a very deep brown body with a red tint. The beige head is average in every respect: size, texture and lifetime. Rather strong but not too exciting aroma of roasted malt, coffee and dark dried fruits. It’s much more interesting on the palate: the strong flavour is dominated by dark dried fruits, roasted malt, coffee and some alcohol (hm, that sounds very similar to the aroma, but believe me, it’s nowhere near as mediocre!). Moderate sweet taste with a long-lasting moderate to light bitter finish. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. A fine doppelbock.
