[1497-20080617] 1pt6floz bottle. Fruity hoppy citrus aroma. Hazy, red orange body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Bitter hops and faint citrus notes in the flavour. Medium-full body is very bitter. Solid bitter.

22 oz bomber courtesy of Degarth. Pours slightly hazy copper in color with a quarter inch off white head that stayed around to the finish. Nice lacing. First impression is that this smells like a Pale Ale with sweetness from the malts and a light pine hoppiness. The flavor however is all IPA with up front pine hoppiness that isn’t too bitter. Seems to be some late addition hops to create a bit of hop flavor along with the stronger hop bitterness. The bitterness does build by the midway point along with some sweet pale malts near the finish. radagast83 (8074) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - OCT 6, 2013
22oz bottle, poured a translucent dark orange color with a large foamy white head - lots of good lacing on this one. Aroma was nice resin pine, with tart citrus grapefruit notes. Caramel notes, floral notes. Flavor was a nice pine, with juicy citrus notes. Tasty. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - AUG 19, 2006

Draft at the Parkway’s Day of IPAs. Amber, still, headless. Cherry/yeast nose. Sweet malt flavor, loong but gentle bitter finish. Not much going on.
I should note that I’ve had the normally-aspirated version many times and truly liked it a lot more than this; I’ll update my rating when I can. I’m just one to be generally bored with bubble-free casked beers, anyway, so today’s rating shows a fair degree of prejudicial thinking.
Had at the brewpub in Mount Vernon. Excellent IPA for a small microbrewery. Has a nice grapefruit citrusy aroma and a dark orangeish cloudy appearance with a off-white sticky head - good lacing. Has a snappy, tangy cascade induced hoppy flavor. Excellent, thick mouthfeel. Wished I had time to stay for another but they were closing up shop for the night.

Drunk while standing up. Then we got a table. Bitter. Hoppy. Went down well. Someone else ordered something I looked down upon. I was happy with this one. blankboy (7699) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 22, 2006
Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, biegaman & tupalev -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a cloudy dirty orange with floaties and a small diminishing white head. Aroma mostly of bitter hops along with sweet malt and some fruit. Big resiny hop flavour with a delayed incredibly intense bitter finish -- acidic and astringent even. Medium bodied. A decent IPA but somewhat one-dimensional and a little unbalanced, and that finish is almost unpleasant. Ernest (7698) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 11, 2005
Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is moderately hoppy (resin), lightly malty (cookie). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lighlty sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Dull. Appearance: Pours slightly cloudy amber with a small off-white head and good lacing
Aroma: Caramel, bready and piney
Taste: Caramel malts, earthy, bready, floral and bitter pine
A nice bitter IPA.
Pours a transparent orange bronze with a clumpy off-white head. Aroma of fresh orangey grapefruity hops and lightly sweet pale malts. Body starts fairly full and caramely sweet with a nice citrusy bittering and flavor hop balance. Finishes crisp and bittersweet, a nice IPA.
