COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A “Big Bird” by any measure! This years Trumpeter is a huge beer with rich layers of smoke, chocolate, roast, caramel, jet fuel, motor oil and hops. Blowing above 10% abv, this bird should walk not fly.

(Bomber merci Pat).

Bottle from Legacy Liquor, Vancouver
Black color with generous brown compact head. The aroma is very interesting, tobacco, cigar, some ashes, bread. Good body strength, yet with a lean mouthfeel; the flavor is a bit chocolatey, but unfortunately is too much roasty and ashy, burnt coffee too; the bitterness level is high, and the final slightly salty.
A robust, roasty Imperial Stout.

Bottle. Pours a very thick near black color with a moderate tan pillowy head on it. Nose is darkly roasty with a fair amount of smoke coming through. Taste is roasty and bitter up front, but has a velvety finish that is slightly sweet and chocolatey. Really quite interesting.

650 ml bottle. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of vanilla, creamy chocolate, and roasted malts. Flavors of cafe au lait, cocoa powder, dark brownies and roasted malts. Dry and slightly bitter. Warm finish. Very nice.

Extra bottle in a nice trade - thanks Chris! Dark black pour - not thick though. Tan head. Nice slightly malty nose. Huge chocolate bitterness, hop bitterness and tobacco in the taste. Bitter finish. Nice for a very cold day.

No bottle date, assume this is 2013. It’s thick and black, presents with good quilt of tan head. Smells nice and toasty with some graham, some earthy and sharp hops; some coffee and dark hershey’s chocolate on the nose. Flavor is roasty and toasty, some nice bready character, some nice prune flavor, a little leather. Thin bodied with low carb and a slightly sticky finish. It’s an okay beer for $7.

Bomber from trade with michaelinwa. Niiice aroma roast chocolate smoke. Black pour no head. Taste when cold was great and less so as it warmed. Definite roast and chocolate in taste. Some burnt flavor and some bitter and alcohol. Good brew
