Milter (990) - Nyborg, DENMARK - JAN 28, 2015
UPDATED: OCT 31, 2015 Pours clear brown with medium beige head that disappears quickly. Very low carbonation. Aroma is spicy, sweet ripe tropical fruits, sweet malts, sweet alcohol, maybe an off-hint of old cellar, but nothing too bad. Taste is sweet, sweet and sweet. Did I mention sweetness? Not sure any hops were used to brew this beer, no bittering ones for sure. Palate is heavy, a bit oily, flat. Clearly wants to be a Chimay, but somehow fails to find the right balance. 0,5 l bottle bought in a danish supermarket. Dark red brown and clear in the glass. Small beige head. Belgian style malty on the nose. Taste is mid sweet and fruity malty, later more malty, with a fruity sweetness and some bitterness. Not really the expected complexity, especially in the aftertaste. Bottle. Comes as Skands Den Glade Gibbon at 6.5% abv. It pours amber with a off white head. Ripe fruity and yeasty spicy aroma. The flavor is sweet malty and spicy. It has a light funky off note. jonas (7986) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - DEC 7, 2016

Draught at Ørbæk Ølbar, Cph. Pours a murky brownish colour with a short lasting head. Aroma is a bit sweet with yeast, caramel and some malt. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet and quite yeasty with caramel, a good mild bitterness and some maltiness. The brewer had the Chimey Bleue in min when brewing this....??...... Bottle at Kolding ølmesse, 2009. Pours muddy brown with a off white head. Nose and taste is yeast, malts, dust, caramel and fruits. Medium bodied. Some sour dry notes. Forgettable. jesperhammer (4874) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 24, 2010
22-JAN-2010, bottle with Ulkløbben @Morten.
Brown, off-white head.
Yeasty nose, but not in a pleasant way.
It has many of the typical belgian ale style checkmarks, but it just does nothing for me. There is something wrong here. It is not sick, just not rigth. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 7, 2010
A Mes rate. Bottle in the apartment in Copenhagen.Adenila (1560) - DENMARK - SEP 25, 2010
Sim went to the shops and came back with rates. Granted, not good ones, but rates all the same. Hazy amber brown with a big off white head that vanishes qucker than it forms. Bit of a fail. Malt and card and some dust. Thick sickly malt actually. Little hops to speak of, other than a faint bitterness in the finish. Faint spice and metal too. Blah. It’s perfectly drinkable. Just not particularly good.
Sampled with the boys. Murky dark brown look with no head, almost. Sleightly candy sweet aroma, but mostly its just regular pale larger hop, malt combination. Flavor has the bitterness of standart eu hops and a light caramel and fruity sweetness. Its ok enjoyable, the style can just do incredible much more. In generel good belgian ales brewed outside belgium are hard to find.
